If youre making 2k a month and youre still struggling, youre doing something wrong. He needs to find a cheaper apartment, find someone who can fix his car for cheaper, and get a credit card.

I don't think you'll are understanding my post.

I make 2k every 2 weeks...imma bounce back in one check lol.

I'm just broke now cause I spent all my cash to fix my car, 2 rental cars, tow etc. That shyt was like 3k and some change.

Once I get paid on Friday, I'll be good but just got to take care of my brakes which is depleting some of my funds but I won't be check to check.

I'll have like 500 until my Nov 30 check after this one. But that Nov 30 check gone be extra good cause I'll be caught up after this car setback :banderas: ... but it's the holiday season, then my bday and my fiancee ' bday are in December :comeon:

I am not in here talking down to anybody, but that to me, is the definition of check to check, or am I wrong….

Most people probably wouldn't even be able to come up ... with 3k plus to get their car back within a week breh.

Check to check is when you're consistently struggling until the next check.

This is the first time I needed to lay low until payday since my old job in Dec. 2012-2013

Example:

Get paid, pay bills, and the rest of money of for gas and food.

After I pay bills, I have 600 plus leftover; my old job..I had no more than 200 leftover after each check. I literally had to choose between a night out with my boys or stocking the fridge...I was making 33k....930 every 2 weeks. It sucked.

Either do the brakes and oil change yourself or take your car to the local tech high school; labor is cheap there. Just bring your parts or let them charge you for the parts. The tech instructor should get a discount on part and you'll still save money.

Yup. For a new car...they wanted a 1500 down payment anyways. So I added 900 and got my shyt fixed.

I wasn't ready for those fukking car payments that would have doubled my current payments

I'm only 18 so whenever I need money I just go ask my mother :mjcry:, I need a job tho, and student loans haven't come yet :sadcam: If it wasn't for my mother and brothers I don't think I would be able to go to school :patrice: but for now, I budget as best as i can. My mom buys prepackaged juice, so I take that and I buy a small burger from wendys or mcdonalds for like 1.75. Thank god I have a very full stomach so, the dollar menu at mcdonalds or a small bowl of rice can keep me full for the whole day..
