I love it.

Definitely my 2nd home. I spend about half my time there the last few years. It is absolutely equal to Los Angeles (hometown) to me, they both offer slightly different things.

I've never visit a perfect city, but San Diego is very close to it.

Also a lot of Black folks in City Heights and Lemon Grove.

I think it'd be the perfect city for being a tech hub.

Would highly recommend if you can afford it.

I hope you're ready to pay a pretty penny to live here breh.

Not trying to deter you though, I love my hometown.

Anyway, Downtown is real cool. Gaslamp Quarter is always packed on weekends.

If you're trying to club, theirs Fluxx off of 5th. Parq as well as Onyx too.

The beach is goat. Ocean Beach is the hippy beach but it has cool restaurants and bars as well as shops and thrift stores off of Newport. Lots of Young and older folks alike. Pacific Beach is epicenter for young college folks to chill. Tons of bars and restaurants in the area. SeaWorld is still cool to hit up. Also, check out Belmont Park down in Mission Beach.

North county has some nice things you can do as well. Downtown Carlsbad has upscale spots. LA Jolla is rich folks haven. Del Mar Fair is coming in June. Damn near whole city attends. Starts beginning of June and leads up to the 4th.

I know a lot of brehs say their isn't a lot of black folks our here. That's sort of true but you can always meet some. Their is still a presence. Lot of black Armed Forces transplants here. Most of the general black population is located in what's known as South East San Diego, our ghetto of sorts. Also, east county as well.

Any questions on anything else I can probably answer or do my best to.

Overall the city is laid back and chill. Not fast paced or anything wild or over the top. LA is crazy with traffic, people on edge, and they drive like bats out of hell. It's only a two hour drive north if you feeling like visiting. Hop skip and jump away.

I went club hopping one time in SD and went to Onyx and cut the line and got in for free. That shyt was cool spot and had some nice bytches there, I made the mistake of going down stairs and it was like little mexico. I felt like shaq walking in there, because all the mexicans were under 5'7", I hit up some other spots, one spot called Sadaf was straight, but they had the ratchet bytches (black, mexican and asian) in there. When I was their a lil fight broke out and I was laughing my ass off at the people trying to fight. The bouncers were mad cool and we were talking shyt about how those dudes did not know how to punch, they were just swinging at air and making noise.

I use to be stationed close to SD back in the day. I know it's not open anymore but we use to stay on Coronado at the Seal school and hit up Mr. O's and TJ's on the weekend.

any brehs from SD or have any experience tho?

Ideally I'd like to move to LA or around that area, but I hear SD is a much better place to live?

Tell me anything about what you know.

I'll be honest, it's beautiful.
The people are okay. Some are nice, too nice and stupid. As far as violence, it's safe compared to LA. Jobs/careers, it varies. Dating, you'll eat. Overall, you'll like it.

I felt a lil wanna be gangbanger tough guy vibe, from the mexicans and asians, when I was Sadaf lol. Sadaf was hella segregated lol, the asians were in the back towards the bathrooms, the mexicans were in the middle, next to the bar and the blacks were in the front next to the dj. The baddest women in there were the sisters.

I need to go back to the gaslamp soon and hit some different spots, the homeless population is crazy down there also.

I had the option to go to San Diego or stay in the Hampton Roads VA in 2015. I chose Hampton Roads and I have no regrets :ahh:

I swear yall nikkas don't ever like to step out the box:martin:

Probably one of the least racist places I've ever lived... Literally. Hawaii was more racist towards me than ppl there.

Hell, even ATL hasn't even treated me as good as the people in SD for the entire time I've lived here.

And just because its not hood or ghetto as fukk doesn't mean there aren't black people there. And like homie said, HUGE military presence so you will see a lot of black people if you know where to go and when to go places

Only place in the states I put over SD is Miami
I lived in Miami and trust it is not a city you want to live in, just a good place to visit. San Diego is 10x better than Miami. I have to Move to San Juan for three years for tax purposes and after that I have full intentions of moving to San Deigo.
