I'm not looking for help, was just curious to see if you were blowing smoke about what you do.

I'm already on LinkedIn, while it is helpful in finding a gig, it becomes a chore when you become inundated by recruiters like yourself who are looking for applicants to apply to jobs in random locations. I feel pressured to respond because I may in fact need to reach out to them in the future.

The one time I worked w a headhunter, he botched the whole thing.

I'm not a recruiter. I'm just very familiar with what they do, how they think and what they're looking for. If you don't want my help, sure. But the offer stands for anyone else. I don't want to see people twisting in the wind here.

Some companies are real big on referrals from Linkedin.

You can reach out to the recruiters as well. They're job is to find people to fill positions, you showing interest just makes their job easier for them. That's why practically every company has a shytload of their recruiters on that site.

I remember after I graduated, I got an insurance license, and was working for Aflac while finishing up school. shyt sucked, and after 6 months I threw it in the bushes.

But one of their recruiters found me on some website, I forget where they got my info from, and had me working a call center job that was insurance related making like 16 an hour. Just answer calls and walking people threw their insurance options.

I was working part-time at Autozone at the time as well.

You gotta grind breh, but keep putting your name out there with the networking, because if you don't, you'll just be a random resume.

I worked at an investment bank like charles schwabb and they had a whole floor dedicated to economics and graduates with econ degrees, they're needed for due dilligence on the market and creating projections for prospectus'

I'd say apply at investment banks like charles schwabb, td waterhouse, etc.
hope this helps, things happen for reasons so just chill don't panic and go with the flow, hopefully you'll get unemployment benefits in the meantime until you land your next gig...
