The shyt jumped out and the street and the only thing I hear was bump bump and looked in my mirror and saw the black colored dog in the street. I kept it pushing and this female drove on the side of me and said you just hit a dog and drove off; I have your license plate number and I'm going to call the cops.

I was like so, that raggedy motherfukker should have been on a leash and skeeted off lol. It was my ex girlfriend's car I was driving that day.

My chick at the time was mad at me when I told her what happened and I said there not going to call bexause it happened in south la; there more worried about catz getting murdered, not some stray dog.

Well, it was probably more than a second. You should have put the seatbelt on before you even drove off. That could have been a person or car. Then, you would have been hung by the balls both in court and by your insurance company
Maybe, now that you are admitting fault, i.e. distracted driving. You should cover your tracks and delete this post.

I'm a dog lover and all, but why is a dog out loose on the street? That's poor ownership.
Is it an actual crime to hit a stray dog where you are at?

It can also be a bad idea to approach a hurt animal that is unfamiliar with you.

Sometimes, dogs get loose. They break out of kennels or leashes or slip out of the door.

My dog is scared of strange loud noises. One day, one of the neighbors was getting work done on their roof and she must've been going crazy because she jumped the fence . It's a tall ass fence too.

Anyways, my mom and her friend were driving around the neighborhood looking for her. Luckily, somebody nice found her and called.

You should have gone back OP...Even if you had to lie and say you saw someone else hit the poor thing. You should have gone back and sat with him until the paramedics or owners came for it.
