You know why i'm here :shaq:

But as a whole, them dudes are flat out lazy....and that's probably the best reason for why the decline of NYC rap is what it is.

The South, and West Coast just outwork them dudes....even if cats feel like rappers from them regions don't make the best music, aren't as skilled as rappers.... they're working. in the clubs, dropping music, booked shows in all the places most rappers won't go.

The south and west cater to demographics that don't have Hip Hops well being in their interests. That's why they make more music that cater to hoes that don't give a fukk, or respect MCs for the sake of mass appeal and higher sales. Only older NY rappers and MCs understand that.

Why do you even care when you don't like east coast music? Focus on your coast.

Who said i don't like east coast music?

Thread is partly because i paid attention to my coast.... not that long ago, the biggest ( and only at the time) hip hop radio station in LA, played zero LA rappers.

Our DJ's and Rappers had very little to work with, but dudes like YG were doing 2-3 shows a night just to get their movement going.... you think LA rappers got to where they are now by just magic?

OP has a valid point and I think its more to do that the scene erupted there. Kind of falls into their hands sort of laziness. Like they'll always have something sort of laziness.

Except they don't have anything.

How the hell is Fabolous an example of this:dahell:?If anything he would be example of why you might have a point,He drops music constantly even though it might not be albums as much as he used to,but he constantly feeds the fans with his mixtapes, and still one of the most relevant NY emcees period, and especially out of the crop of rappers from the late 90's/early 2000's....nearly 20 years into the game,he still doin it.

So I think work ethic but more importantly consistency plays a role in these things,if you consistenly give the fans great music they will wait:banderas:,whether you give it to them yearly or every 3 years....Cant promise this if you Jay Electronica status with taking your time, thats just plain disrespectful:mjlol:

Plus you gotta give east coast rappers a little leeway,it gotta be a little harder to drop like clockwork once you've given fans an expectation on bars....Not that making good non lyrical music is easy and everybody can do it,but I gotta believe bein lyrical and making the music good has to be a little harder.

If you gon take so much time though,ya shyt shouldn't be wack when it drop though.
