If Trout falls off this season and Miggy has another MVP season can we make a case for Cabrera being top 5 or do we need to wait to see his WAR first ?

Dude is a fukking BEAST. Best player by far but MG is probably a better overall hitter. Trout is the definition of a 5 tool player.

Yes.

Cabrera is definitely the best hitter in baseball. But Mike Trout is second-best.

Meanwhile, Trout is elite defensively and on the bases, while Cabrera is, at best, worthless in both areas.

Cabrera is great. Trout is the greatest.

Every team uses Sabermetrics (except the White Sox)

You do realize Bill James is the one that brought Sabermetrics into the forefront and he's the senior advisor of the Red Sox. Now ask me how many WS they've won. Know who else is into Sabermaetrics? The Cardinals. Ask me how they're doing...

so?

frank robinson at 20
38 home runs 83 rbis and a ops over 900 all while having to hear nygger chants and still had to deal with segregation

so an entitled cac having that season at 20 is more impressive than a black man enduring racism yet hitting nearly 40 home runs?

No Frank Robinson is an all time great. All I'm saying is Trout is the best overall player in todays game.

i guess 30 home runs is considered a slugger in this water down mlb era?
i guess striking out nearly once a game is considered elite?
