I probably listened to more music in 2004 than I did from 2006-2010 all together. This is just 4 random songs:

wow yeah 'Lean Back' was big that summer too...I remember seeing it for the first time on one of those rap channels like 367 or something on tv when people still watched those, 'Warrior Pt. 2' was my other anthem, Juvenile 'Juve The Great' was still getting a lot of play, 'Slow Motion' was another one that was ALWAYS on, esp. going to a late summer party or with girls....'Slow Jamz' from the beginning of the year was another. 'Art & Life' from Twista album...

'Amerkaz Nightmare', I remember when my homey first played that, cruising on the indian reservation in this suv he had, that truck went through much crazy shyt over the years, were all drinking coronas and smoking, some bytch is doing whippets, I'm just geeked over the intro to the album, sinister beat, and of course 'Got It Twisted' was killing it since April.

Funny thing is a lot of people view that year as a dissappointment in terms of what big name rapper's released (Nas, Eminem, Roots, Mobb Deep, Talib Kweli, Mos Def)

Some of those albums were later appreciated or hated more.
