Not liked doesnt = forced no more than not liking a character means the actor is bad. Especially if ur not supposed to like the character. Forced to me is actors who couldn’t sell it on screen or the show throwing u for a loop for literally no reason. Like Rachel and Joey on Friends. It made zero sense and actually brought the show down.

If you go back and rewatch the latter episodes of ADW , right b4 Whitley and Dewayne got married, Freddie wasnt even into Shazah like that because she had come to terms with herself being in love with Ron. She even sacrificed a friendship with Kim. All the cards lined up for them to be together which made her dealing with Shazah seemed forced. The show made them forced.

i suspended belief ...but it did work in a way on screen...mostly because jaleel white was really in love with michelle thomas off screen..the man can barely get through any interviews talking about her to this day without crying
