The Senate isn't happening, but that was always a pipe dream. I don't know why anyone thought the Senate was in play. The house looks solid IF you can still trust polling. If Dems take the house then there won't be much done in the next two years.

I'm looking at 2020 though and I honestly don't see how Trump loses. Dems have no candidate and Trump is going to win all those states again that he won in 2016

There were a few states where Hillary would have won had people not wasted votes on Jill Stein. People need to stop being emotional, and realize Republicans show up go vote and put party over country.

Republicans are not losing the House or the Senate. Young Democrats are not out in big numbers voting. This will get uglier than the 2016 election.

I don't know why you guys have not learned by now to stop going off polls so much. Trump is still widely unpopular but clearly more popular than 2 years ago. Not saying its good numbers. But if young minorities did not show out in midterms in 2010 and 2014 for the once in a lifetime candidate Obama after electing him, why are you guys expecting big Democrat wins
You do know that Obama wasn't running in 2010 and 2014, right? :dahell:

Incumbents always lose seats in midterms. That's been the trend in every election of my lifetime except for 2002 (when Bush was still riding 9/11 and Afghanistan War momentum).

All of you Trump not gonna be relected brehs....he has almost an 80 percent approval rating in Republicans and over 80 percent approval rating with white evangelicals. Hispanics AND Black people have been pissed off on how Democrats have handled the immigration issue.
Trump's approval rating among White evangelicals is only 71%, and he's getting killed by every other religious demographic. Why are you even citing that like it matters when those are all Republicans anyway?

And the idea that Hispanics and Black people are pissed off about immigration is a right-wing talking point. That ain't true from my family/friends nor folks on my facebook nor the polls I've seen. Voters strongly think that Democrats are better on immigration policy than Republicans by a 14-point margin, who the hell do you think is driving that, white people?

Hell no.
Whites were more supportive (41 percent) of spending $25 billion on a border wall than Latinos (29 percent), Asian (27 percent), blacks (23 percent) and Native Americans (35 percent).

We have polled African Americans for two cycles now on immigration questions and they always perform as well or better than every group on progressive reforms (supporting DREAM, comprehensive immigration reform & opposing wall). The backbone of a just America is the black vote.

I swear, you're sounding a bit like a right-wing troll, the way you're trying to discourage Black people from voting and making Fox News-style claims about what Black people believe.

I'd encourage everybody to vote and hope the GOP takes an L...I just don't trust Democratic voters to actually show up.

Trump is unpopular but it won't matter if people don't actually turn out.

Hell, look in TLR right now, there's threads in there everyday with dumb nikkas bragging about not voting.

It would just confirm what I see around me already. What history has taught me about this country. A place that was taken by force and will remain through complacency.

Plato was right when he said one of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being ruled by your inferior

Trump won mostly because most folks stayed home as opposed to voting for either one, and the electoral college.

Only thing is what do the Russians have as a "trump" card that has him so confident in only speaking to like 38-40% of the country and totally ignoring the majority? Usually politicians get in and at least attempt to reach out knowing they don't have a significant majority. This guy is 100% about his base and even that is shrinking, not growing.

Trump knows he has a geographic advantage.

His base may only be 40% of the electorate but they're spread out in suburban/rural areas where their votes hold more weight. Democratic voters are unfortunately concentrated in cities and gerrymandered, so it's pretty easy for Dems to get more votes and lose the election anyway.

:dwillhuh: ?

If they also didn't turn out for the 2016 election what makes you think it will happen now?? I say all the time alot of brehs just like the mainstream cable news crowd live in a bubble.

Yall gotta get out of the 5 stages of denial at some point :snoop: I'm already expecting the night of the midterm election to see alot of you acting all shocked like this is unfathemoable that they won and you didn't expect it when it was obvious as hell

When Magic Johnson and Oprah announce they are running and we have Lebron campaigning for Magic I'm sure you will be shocked when Magic loses in the 2020 General also

This is white people's President. They aren't gonna give Obama 2 terms and give their boy Trump one term or have him lose his midterms. WAKE UP

Even if all this is true, and it may be, you better take your ass to the polls

His base never mattered... He won the presidency by 70k between 3 states.. 3 states that happened to have voting irregularities in the voting machines changing folks votes..

We all know what this shyt is, trump with the help of another nation stole the presidency it’s that simple
