Hell yea. Tracy finna be where its at. It's Just the commute but that aint shyt I can ride bart for an hour aint shyt to me.
Everybody just works in frisco n hops on bart n leaves to xyz areas in the bay. Stealing my city's resources and not giving back.
:gucci:
I think ima start making everyone who aint from frisco check in during the early morning commute from now on!
:lolbron:

Mountain House though :patrice:

Similar accents, similar culture, both cities/areas have love for the other, and it’s just similar in general.

True to this. Remember going to All Star Weekend in Vegas back in '07 with a group of brehs from Oakland. There was black folks from all over the country but Detroit and Oakland clicked well .

As for the Bay, my mom's is from North Oakland/Berkeley and pops is from West Oakland so they tell me a lot of stories. Mom likes to give me a tour of different areas in town to show me how they were like when she lived in the area . Got plenty of stories how life was from the 60s and 70s :whoo: Even though gentrification is strong in Oakland now, a lot of culture is still preserved. Can't say the same about SF.

Pittsburg and Antioch are getting just as ratchet as Stockton now because a lot of nikkas from the Bay moved there cause it's cheaper throughout the years. Like a Lancaster north.

Hopefully more black folks hold on to their homes and businesses to keep their families in the Bay.

Oh, and Downtown Oakland has a nice nightlife scene now.

A lot of cats are on their hustle too .

It's gotten gentrified, but not all of the spots are bad though. Their ain't no Sweet Jimmie's anymore, but Yoshi's, Double Standard, and Van Kleef have been around forever. It's just one note across the city now with the new spots that are opening. A lot of breweries opened up. All about IPAs and wannabe dive bars (The hipsters like pretending they're somewhere "bad"). You need a good paying job to live here full time. The landlords know people are competing for rent so they can make it sky high. Just find your spots and you'll need to occasionally get out of civilization to get some fresh air.

I been to the Bay a few times for different reasons.

Each time, I always come back home thinking the Bay Area produces some of the realist, most genuine people in the country.

My first time in the Bay was back in my Navy days.

We stopped in Oakland doing work ups back in the late 90s.

Me and my guys hit this little club in Jack London Square, can't remember the name.

Soon as we walk in, the entire club is going ape to this shyt here...

nikkas is diving over each other, bytches throwing elbows, it was nuts.

The DJ literally played that bytch like 100 times in a row.

The song had just come out and I had never heard it in my life, so for about 2 months, I thought JT Money was a Oakland nikka.

About an hour later, me and a couple guys go to the restroom.

Soon as we walk in, it's 12 nikkas with a mouth full of golds and dreads in a semi circle passing el's around, bathroom smelling like the freshest pine. :banderas:

Immediately, them nikkas is on some, "where y'all nikkas from?", "smoke one with the Town" and starts passing el's around.

Rest of the night, them nikkas is introducing us to all the cuties in the club, buying drinks, the whole nine.

When the club closed and we are all walking out, a nikka is on guard thinking they might be trying to line us up, but all them nikkas said was "do us a solid, go back where y'all from, and tell your patnas Oakland nikkas is real.", then they dapped us up, and walked away..

the bay is in a really weird place right now. Too many people moving in, not enough opportunities for middle to lower class, Chinese and techies snatching up properties anywhere they can now. Something has to give.

Feels like every major city is going through this shyt now.

they are,tis the reverse to the great migration of the 50's,they want the rich&well to do within city limits or as close as possible, where as the 'Amerikkkan Dream' used to be to afford to live in the suburbs, now the suburbs are the hood..

what i wonder about now is if every big metropolis/city in the country has a tent city(ies) perched up around town..?
