Brehs what's the best way to get your beard to lay flat?

Growing out a full one for the first time ever, and the hairs around the cheek area that connect to the sideburn stick out in a bunch of different angles. It makes it look like trash. I want them to lie flat, but all the advice I've googled seems to be more catered towards white hair. Advice?

trim the stray hairs or hairs out of order, if you gonna grow a beard you need to own at least a trimmer kit

Unfortunately, time is the only factor. I have the same problem. Ive got various different hair textures in my beard. There are some that are coarse some that are wavy and some that literally stick straight out of my face and theyre straight. In not sure how long you want yours but I had to just let mine grow out. Its been about a year since ive been clean shaven and all of those annoying hairs that stuck out in every which direction got long enough that they lay flat on my face.

if i understand the question you wanna look have the all even look a drizzy or mike epps has?

Sometimes bruh, we don't have the necessary equipment to make it work. My facial hair is the weirest facial hair ever, curls on the sides and cheeks, but straight on the bottom. THe only thing I can reccomend is growing it out for a good while and then cutting it all even in terms of clipper guard, and repeating the cycle until you are satisfied. Otherwise, you may have to do damage control liek the poster about said and trim those sideburns down and fade your beard in.

Based on the info in this thread, thinking about just slightly trimming down the shyts that stick out everytime they start to appear.

I do. Everyday. Shampoo two-three times a week.
