Lotta black folk been in the trenches..But they are not on TV supporting white supremacy though and tearing down a brotha trying to push a positive message. Jim is c00ning plan and simple. Nobody forcing him to write articles and do interviews on this.

You guys gotta stop with the blind hero worship. No disrespect to Jim Brown but yall severely overstate his accomplishments and what he has done. He was a great football player. He stood up as an athlete when black athletes had no other choice but to. It wasn't really an option for them like it is now. That's what makes what Kaep is doing even more respectable. Jim has done some good things for the community in the past. But he is no Malcom X or MLK. He aint Farrakhan or even Jesse Jackson level. He is most known for his football greatness, commentating, womanizing/ domestic abuse cases, and movies. I challenge anyone who disagrees to post things he has done that would elevate him to the status of the black icons I listed above. And that's not a slight to him, it's just reality.

Same thing applies to Ali. I love Ali but Even Leila Ali said it best when she got called out for her c00ning statements about not speaking up on black issues. She grew up with Ali and said her pops would have agreed with her c00nin ass comments. She said folks only know him for the big moments in his life where he took a stand on particular issues but those were only moments and did not define all of who he was. Just what he felt he had to do at the time. She was around him all the time and said he wasn't really militant like we wanted to believe he was.

Good point:ehh:

He protested the war because he got drafted:ehh:

The people at the table weren't faced with the same charges as ali so they didn't stand to lose anything

also what did they have to lose or how is that irrelevant to what kaep did

he did what he did not because he was forced with a choice, if Ali was never drafted would he have spoke against the war, probably not

also it's not relevant to the times or what is going on

I didn't even know the national anthem had mentions of slavery in it until this kaep shyt took off, I just said thought it was racist because america was racist, but the fact it's in the very lyrics of the anthem shows you what this country is about

kaep inspiring the youth, jim brown trying to talk down to them, his old ass can go die for all I care, all this old nikkaz need to die, they are failures and aren't needed

Na they didnt face what Ali was facing but they stood with him. They could have been blackballed by their leagues. Ali standing up against the draft is viewed way worse than what Colin doing.

I didnt know about the anthem either. And I agree Colin bringing awareness to people.

But saying Jim a failure and could die smh.

Jim Brown is a c00n.
My dad saw the shyt he was saying yesterday, and said he was disappointed in Brown co-signing and agreeing with the non-sense Barkley was saying.
No excuse, Brown is a media creation of a "leader" there is a reason they didn't bring Kareem up to speak. There is a reason they didn't bring Oscar up to speak.

They always have him on tv when talking about the past and athletic activism if you notice.
They never have Kareem on though, never have Bill Russell, never have Oscar, they don't talk to the real men out there.
You got Jim Brown talking shyt about the flag and how he loves the US and its a disgrace to not stand for the pledge or say the anthem, but in the same damn breathe bigging himself up for supporting Ali who refused to be drafted. This man on tv talking about blacks shouldn't be mad at cops shooting unarmed men/women/children because black on black crime, even though the criminal element of the black community makes up less than 5% of the total population, but in the same breathe saying we shouldn't hold the police population to the same group standard they hold black americans. SMH.

Just disappointing. I'm don't with the Inside crew except for Kenny.

When you think about it, i could see somebody like barkley doing that.

If barkley was drafted I could see him refusing to go and bring up race.

Just watching this again makes me mad....

Kenny was tight :russ:
As for Ernie, you see what the mentality is of your average white American. "Oh I have black friends and yeah this country has its problem but hey, just get over yourself we're all Americans and this symbolic flag and anthem is more important than actual life". Just because dudes like him interact with you or like you for your talents doesn't mean he really gives 2 thoughts about what actually happens to you. For Kenny to be the only one disturbed on that set is shameful.
