In this situation right now, bounced around in 3 high schools, pretty much never studied, and got by on social promotion but I always did well in English and History (my only AP classes) Graduated with about a 2.4. My family went to Martha's Vineyard and met some people from Morehouse, they blessed me and wrote me a recommendation and I got in. MF'rs there were smart and studious as hell while partying, me on the other hand

I took up English because I thought because I was good at it in HS, it would correlate
Minored in sports journalism. The funny thing is I did well in my major classes even though it was dumb shyt like Milton and Shakespeare, but the gen ed shyt freshmen year killed me. Basically taking biology, psychics, music, and
math and paying for it, when in high school I pretty much just showed up did the minimum, and passed. And yes, the music class was hard for whatever reason. Having to know gregorian chants and shyt like that.
Graduated with a 2.5. Been in non-profit pretty much coasting off the strength of the school's reputation. Been studying for the Sec + and thinking of doing door dash or uber eats on the side since I can't even win a fukking $40 on fanduel. I have no interest whatsoever in Sec + but I do in money so I'm forcing myself to study and like this shyt.
Also just made up a new resume and made myself a DEI recruiter and been getting interviews
I don't know if I have ADHD or what. My passion is sports, and music, people always said I know music and make good playlist but that's a side hustle not a career, Im going to start blogging the playoffs and music reviews, writers don't get paid that much but at least I would do what I enjoy.
Don't blame anyone for it and not looking for sympathy it is what it is. I'm 28, no kids still have time. My advice would be go to community college and knock the gen ed out then transfer to a 4 year and of course pick Stem. Morehouse doesn't except cc credits but it's better in the long-run if you weren't studious in hs.
