I got ok grades in grammar school, but I stopped caring around seventh grade, and that combined with my adhd gave me a 1.6 gpa at the end of the my first year of hs.

I made a little bit of an effort to not do as bad the rest of my hs years, but I never studied for any classes I wasn't interested in, so I still only had like a 2.4 I think when I graduated.

Thought about joining the military ,but I ended up getting a good SAT score so I got into a state college. Did pretty well there since I only did stuff I cared about.

Now working on my J.D and working full time. I wouldn't call myself successful since my current field's pay ceiling is low relatively, but once I pass the bar I think i'll be on the right track.

I did bad because I skipped a lot to smoke weed and fukk hoes. Got kicked out for hustling in 10th grade... But when I went I did good. Went to summer school twice and graduated in 04 but was supposed to got out in 03.

I went to itt tech and got an associates. Used it once. Been in middle management at a warehouse afterwards for 10 years. Now I own my own trucking company. Doing well.

Yeah its definitely a place for that...
I'm gonna put myself out there once this shyt is over and see where the chips fall..
Sometimes I feel like I dont belong, but that's just not reality
I know the feeling all too well.

It's really just tht you haven't been intentional. Instead of bending your reality to what mirrors/compliments you and going out and discovering that.

Versus coasting and taking the backseat and trying to follow things that really aren't meant for you.

I was a lousy student in high school. Getting high and being too paranoid to get caught had me unfocused most of the time. Graduating wasn’t difficult as it was a vocational school. I would never send my child to a school like that unless they had interest in learning a trade.

After years of legal problems and living in a fog since then, I’m finally catching my stride in terms of financial security and better decisions (hopefully time will tell). I work for myself and have good people in my life that want to help me do well. Very thankful for how everything turned out.

I really wish I had a mentor coming up, my life might’ve been less bumpy. Guess I went through that to let my children benefit from my experience, hopefully.

Man..

I did poorly in elementary school and early highschool (bad influences and grew up in a ghetto). Got my shyt together by Grade 10. Went to community college and graduated with a diploma. Then I went to university and got a degree (double majored). I Ihen completed a bunch of certificates.

I'm now making six figures, running a business, investing in property, crypto, stocks etc..

Came a long way man.:wow:

not much to it really

I was just being trifling af with my BM, we try not to argue in front of my sons so I got call in for work at Wal-Mart cause somebody was sick

why not get out the crib and make some bread

anyway, I'm going through aisles and I spot shorty and I ask her she need any help. and she said naw at first but continue talking

you know them types of people that got that energy you drawn to them immediately

it was like that

so after being on some bs on my part, fast forward, we moved out of state, got a daughter by her and we got married. Got a crib with a mortgage and the whole nine. Everybody all good.

but believe me breh, I have them moments in my head damn near once or month where I think to myself what if I never went in to work that day ha.

Mind telling this story?

Pre-K to high school I coasted through school. I occasionally got bad grades but it was only ever really a lack of effort and not capability. I was in gifted classes from elementary to middle school but I had no type of drive or discipline so I eventually got pulled outta that shyt; once I got my act together they put me back in advanced classes in my sophomore year in highschool.

In college my bad study habits and ADD had me fukking up heavy to the point where it took me 6 years to get my degree. I've been killing it ever since I graduated to be honest but I went through some real struggles to get to where I am mentally and financially today.

Slacked off K-12. Pretty much a low C student. Always passed my classes barely but I had to go to summer school twice for failing the state math tests for 6th and 7th grade. :martin:

Mostly cheated/coasted my way through HS. Only classes I was genuinely beast mode in were English/Lit., social studies and electives like Spanish.

Graduated HS with 2.75

Took community college seriously for a bit but withdrew in a year because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I live alone making $40k a year debt free in a house I inherited. No stress, no drama. :manny:
