people don't realize that these talking points aren't organically happening. There's a larger American project to get women out of the workplace and back into housekeeper roles. Brehs do a lot of talking about the old days when grandmothers were subservient and submitted to their husbands all while ignoring that on one hand, the unemployment rates for Black men have been above recession levels for more than 50 years now AND women of the time didn't have the opportunities and freedoms they have today.

As a man you're still expected to protect the family and be the first one to die for the family. with protection there should be a certain amount of "following" the man's leadership.
And i still hate that people use the word "submission" because it obviously derails any real conversation about what people mean behind that sentiment.
