These festivals are industry events...it's where songwriters, producers, A&R and etc go and meet up.

Also...a lot of the people that go...really don't give a fukk about half of these artists.

SXSW has a bunch of niche artists that are brand new or veterans that come and perform.

It's not like you are going to see the most popping artist out and you know their song and etc...

You are probably there to see one or two artist that you know and the rest of the time you are chilling...

I remember when Pusha T did SXSW there and all the White people were like...:francis: and just throwing their hands up all mindless and shyt...

Some festivals can be hard to really enjoy if there are varying genres of music. If you are a neo-soul head you might hear a couple of acts you like, then when some hard core hip-hop or another genre you arent familiar with takes the stage, it might not be your cup of tea. So you have a crowd full of people but only pockets are familiar with who's on the stage at any given time.

Coachella is still the premier festival...rolling loud has the best lineup overall, but that’s because it’s all hip hop....but their production still fukkin sucks compared to Coachella

Low key made in America production been getting better year to year...but due to their location, I think it limits them from becoming a real powerhouse

Sxsw tried to go “mainstream” with bigger artists like the last 2-3 years, but it seems to have basically went back to the “a bunch of artists nobody gives a fukk about” route...Unless catching kamaiyah and Bali baby perform 4 times in 2 days is the kinda wave you’re on

Boiler room is painful to watch especially when a they a do a fire danecehall set and no one is getting there daggering on
