Then I got like 4 years which is still a long time.

I don’t know what bank to call. I just called the company listed on my credit karma account. And you’re saying don’t settle for a less and do a pay for delete ? Is it possible to settle for less and have them delete it.
Get your report for all three credit bureaus from Annual Credit Report.com - Home Page

That way you’ll have the data all three of them have and move accordingly. If you want more help, send a pm.

Deny and complain. Settle. Then do all these other steps. Or do it simultaneously. Went from 5s to 7s in 18 months

I did that shyt and during those 18 months i decided to buy a crib. shyt was def a pain in the ass. My credit wouldnt rise fast enough to meet the banks needs.

It ended up working out but dont plan on nothing of value until that process is done.

Bet I will. Appreciate it..
yes its possible to do a settlement (pay for less) and get it deleted. This is for collections only. If u have any charge offs (CO), its very hard to get those removed as u have to send good will letters to the OG creditor. Took me 6 months to get 2 of those removed. Also, check who your collections agency is, if its Jefferson Capital, u are in luck. Their policy is if u pay off your debt (even settling for less), they will automatically delete your collection from your record. Most other collection agencies require you to ask them over the phone for pay for delete agreement.

just get your full report from all 3 bureau's from annual credit report and get to work. GL!

My collection agency’s are Transworld Systems and Credence Resource Management. Dey both finnessed me I called for a pay to delete/settle for less and I ended up paying them to dispute it off my record cuz they said it had inaccuracy’s. And I gotta pay em both $99 a month while dey dispute it.

:snoop:

Why would they ask u to pay for them to dispute it when u can do it for free?

btw, Credence Resources have been known to do pay for delete but they ask for full payment and u may have to call back more then one time to get someone who will agree.

depends on how you're starting.

if your credit is shyt...
  • get a credit card with a pre-paid spending limit and use it to make all your purchases. that'll help improve your credit and with good history, the card will offer you the ability to transition to a normal credit card and reimburse whatever credit you paid to start it.
  • pay off your debt. whether you do it in full, or work out settlements, this was the key for me. i spent a good amount of my savings to get my debt cleared, but in the end it was worth it. just make sure when you close your debt that the creditors are sending notification to the company you owed money to, so it's reflected in your credit score.
if you have decent credit...
  • stop applying for credit cards and anything else that requires a credit check until your score improves
  • use credit cards for everything, and pay them off immediately (i'm talking same day). this keeps your credit usage low and also helps build good payment history.
  • if you don't have the money to pay something off immediately, then don't buy it until you do (barring absolute emergencies).
  • get rid of unnecessary spending, like monthly car notes. buy a used whip you can afford and pay for it up front so that you only have the insurance note (i drove a junk nissan for 4.5 years). when your credit improves, you can always get rid of the beater and lease something at a better interest rate.

i pay all of my cards on time except for one. they pissed me off

the trick was a hidden $175 activation fee. they hid it in the small print. once i 'activated' the card, i get that charged immediately. i bought myself something nice, then immediately shredded the card. i didnt think about it for a couple months until i got a phone call.

ofc they outsourced it, so i have someone trying to threaten me in broken english. i agreed to make a $200 payment, but the more i thought about it, the more angry i got, so i paid $50 instead. they called me later to complain, saying i didnt complete the "full" payment. i told her every time they call me i'm going to pay less and less. my next payment was $40. they haven't bothered me since. they havent sent it to collections, i guess they figured they would take what they can get out of me. AFAIK the minimum payment you can make is $25, im looking to see if theres a physical address i can mail a box of pennies to. loose, not wrapped.

they will get their money back but im gonna enjoy fukking with them

horrible advice. If u pay a balance off before the statement balance is posted, u will be reporting a ZERO balance every time. Whats the point of even using the card? :heh:

Well theres a big difference between what u meant and what u posted. Buying something and then paying it off immediately wont work for me, u, or anyother person out there. But glad u didnt mean that.
