Im thinking about getting my BSIT from Western Governors University online. They charge per 6 month session instead of by credit hour. $3500 flat rate no matter if you knock out 12 credits or 100 credits. I’m too busy working to do the traditional school shyt, plus I need that degree FAST.

I figured if I can get the shyt done in 2 sessions, that’s only $7K for a Bachelors degree... ROI brehs
If you're doing the non traditional online route, a regionally accredited not for profit school would work better .just fyi.

Be careful, the school is currently under federal audit , sounds like they're having similar financial problems like ITT tech which is now defunct.

September 2017 federal audit concluded that many WGU courses do not offer regular and substantive interaction with an instructor, and much of the curriculum fails to meet federal eligibility standards for financial aid

More fyi- don't get caught up in a diploma mill. the summary indicates that school is not up to dept of education standards-
at least 69 of the 102 courses were not designed to offer regular and substantive interaction with an instructor and, therefore, did not meet the regulatory definition of distance education." Consequently, the audit found that most courses at the University fell short of the required standards for Title IV of the Federal Financial Aid Act as outlined in a 1992 law that defines financial aid eligibility.[87][8] The U.S. Department of Education's Office of Inspector General recommended that WGU repay the federal government more than $712 million.[88]

No and I don't owe much. I didn't get a job in my field of study but have a job that will let me pay it off within a year.

I look at my bill like :picard: imagining if I had debt levels I see referred to on the news.

Honestly, if you don't feel like it was worth it, go do something that pays better and come back later... if you even feel like taking a paycut then:ehh:

It came in (4) 5k increments as long as I maintained a 3.0 gpa.

It was on some fluke shyt man. Seen the posting in the hallways. I applied, wrote a letter & did an interview. Boom.

I'm still mad at myself because I never applied to a big one after that point. I should of applied to 100's after I secured that one. I got a couple k here and there. But nothing over 5k. They out there man.

Seems to be cool according to Forbes (even though article came out in August last year)
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fo...-the-best-kept-secret-in-online-colleges/amp/

And after checking reviews, most of the people who wrote negative reviews are ITT tech people with only experience there or people who have personal issues like not having an instructor 24/7 or admin issues
