Let's say something like a plan that players who are less than 3 years out of high school can only be selecting in the lottery of the draft and aren't eligible for other rounds. This will save college basketball and always allow players to develop and better the NBA's product. :ehh:

I would tweak it to where they have to be 2 years removed from HS or just don't have the age limit at all.

I got into a debate online where I was telling them that not having an age limit wasn't hurting the NBA since not EVERYBODY in HS wasn't going to college. Out of all the players that went to the league straight out of high school, almost ALL of them started in the NBA for a few years :manny:

Look at this list:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_high_school_draftees

you have more contributors and starters than you have non contributors :ehh:

fukk no.

If you have to stay 3 years thats too many years of actual college courses, thats how you get cheating scandals to keep players eligible. Let them get a semester and get the fukk outta there. No need to pretend to be a student athlete when we know you there too hoop

That's the way I look at it too bruh. Like the NBA and college basketball REALLY cares about the players.

My thing has ALWAYS been that it's up to the TEAM to want to draft that player, it's on them if they want to take a risk on a HS senior or senior in college.

As history has shown, staying in college doesn't mean you're going to be a better player anyhow and most of these players who end up with GREAT degrees aren't NBA players anyway

nope change the rule back to 18. Put the onus on GM's and teams to draft responsibly instead of based on potential

You gonna see more kentucky's and Calipari's throwing players under the bus when they don't perform. And they pretending like they care about these players education :smugdraper: 3 or 4 of the KU freshmens would of been drafted and making bank feeding there fams if it wasn't for the dumb one year rule. Let these cats eat and end the highschool :ban:

This shyt isn't going to happen though because every team is looking for that next lebron, kobe, or KG. I just missed the days when college players coming into the league were actually pro ready and not projects.

Make scholarships a 3 year commitment or a player can enter the draft right out of highschool. Make it like the baseball rule. Then you would have star players in the college game again and the Bron's of the world could still go straight out of highschool.

Open up a compensation system so players aint starving. Only reason it's not done is because of greed between the schools, conferences, & networks.
