Brehs, would you support the NBA changing the rules to keep players in school longer?

Kwame :ld: dude could hace actually been good, besides his shyt work ethic, he could have been a Roy hibbert at best. He came out to early, and jordan made a awful mistake

Yea but then you have people like Jason Collins and Brendon Haywood who stayed 4 years when they had chances to leave early and they're in no better shape than Kwame. I think there's players who's bound to be garbage whether they stay one year in college or 4 years

yep. March Madness use to be the PERFECT bridge into the final week of the NBA season heading into the playoffs but now it's almost hard to watch

Maannn, I only watch the final four these days. Back in the day, I'd be glued in from round one to the ship game.

shyt used to be piff breh, like seriously piff.

NBA League Pass, NBA TV Game Nights , ESPN Games on Monday's and Wednesdays, Fridays. TNT on Thursdays.

They killed the lane that college basketball used to be in, Big Mondays used to be HUGE when i was in high school (*iverson, kerry kittles, ray allen :dj2:.

The more accessible the nba got, the less likely I would be to turn on any college game.

March Madness is all that exist now, and it doesnt require any talented players to be a success. All you need is money pools and brackets

I think the NBA could do wonders with the D-League if they put money into it.

Try and grab some ESPN 2 or TNT Saturday afternoon time slots. Get GM's to pluck talent from Europe, market the league more, go the college route and get some of these college coaches (or even college assistant coaches) to be head coaches. Obviously it's not THAT simple but you get my drift, right bruh?

That would be incredibly ass backwards of European talent to consider that when they can just stay overseas where they get paid and the know scouts will be paying attention

Why do we want to make college basketball better?

It's about making the NBA better. It's clear the NBA has the worst trained pro athletes of any of the major sports. A minimum 2 years in college/2 years from your HS class graduation date would significantly improve basketball at a pro level. They should reorganize the NBDL so that it serves as a true farm system (Single A, Double A, Triple A affiliates) with multiple affiliates of pro teams throughout the nation.

If they did wanna let players play straight outta HS, the players would get a guaranteed signing bonus, but would have to go directly to a Triple A or Double A affiliate of the pro team they signed with & could only go to the next level team/NBA club once the coaches & management/ownership feel they're ready...that would help develop these players also.

If the NBDL is going to be the farm system, why have college basketball at all?

Go the european Basketball academy model and call it a day.

Besides reviving baseball in the inner city, I don't see what this accomplishes

B/c it's still amateur status (college) vs. people trying to be professional athletes. Not every ball player on a D1 roster is trying to go pro. EVERYONE in the NBDL is trying to play at a NBA level b/c they're playing at a professional level. I think a structured basketball farm system could really help improve the overall NBA/college basketball product
