So basically the city won't evict because it's not considered a rentable dwelling? Then that should mean she has no renters rights. Take the windows and doors off that bytch. Turn on the water and gas. Get a gate around the building and put a lock on it.

Maybe I read the story wrong, but the "landlord" rented his space out on AirBnB, she took it, had a living situation and asked for an extension, he gave it to her (even though he didn't have to, and probably shouldn't have) and let her stay longer...

Now because the city found violations, he can't get her out and she is supposed to have full rights to stay there and not pay anything?

That doesn't make sense to me...What I'm not understanding is why she should be able to stay there? He should pay fines or whatever the penalty, but he shouldn't have to have a squatter stay in his place rent free because of it.

He pays his fines and restitution and she should have to vacate....

Now with the landlords i don’t feel bad for the ones they try to get by with illegal unapproved apartments.

If it’s not a legally rentable property, doesn’t that mean it’s just his personal home? Why doesn’t he have the right to kick her out of his home?

You have to evict someone for cause you can’t just say you want them to leave even if it is your home.

This is why you do not let guests stay with you past a few days. I don’t let anyone stay in our house for more than 3 days I don’t care who it is including family. Get a hotel! If you can’t afford one you can’t afford to visit.
