No you not :mjlol: the pound shall recover

Not to the level it was before, and God forbid the Brit economy tanks before they officially leave the EU its gonna be a massacre on trading.

The Value of mone is all about trust, right now trust in the pound is dropping like a rock... One more blow could finish it off.

It opens the door to demagogues and fringe groups.

This also showed why referendums are not such a good idea..they are prone to emotion, protest votes and self-delusion. The long term results may be positive but clearly a lot of people did not appreciate the fallout and just wanted to ''stick it to the elites''.

At least the people will have only themselves to blame.

Democracy is a bad idea now?

Holy fukk you're an irrational female.

This is literally democracy in action. The government didn't want it nor did the elites. THE AVERAGE CITIZEN DID THOUGH. Giving an equal voice to the average citizen = democracy in action.
The average citizen is a God damned idiot though, so you not saying much. And I don't hate democracy, but the truth is the truth. Our founding fathers knew this too. A true democracy doesn't work, and leaving a decision of that magnitude up to a majority of uninformed is asking for trouble.

Personally I believe they end up staying no matter what the vote says. Referendum is not legally binding and people are realizing now the repercussions of the vote.

Yeah looked up the pop of the UK. 50 mill are voting age and if I read right, they needed 16 million votes at least for it to pass. That's only 32% participation required. Seems kind of low.

The 16M number took into account the turnout.

Turnout was 70% so times that 50M and you get ~33.5M. A majority of that is 16.8M.

Or maybe is shows you how terrible neoliberalism is. If it was working out for the Brits they would have stayed

The people in power fukked up because they got too greedy. The middle and working class and elderly cacs in these countries are perfectly happy to vote in politicians backed by bankers and corporations long as they stay fed too. But now that they're decimated with all the $$ going to the top they're starting to do shyt like this. Trump is next :manny:

Too bad shyt's not gonna get better for them only worse. But they're too dumb to understand that :yeshrug:

:yeshrug: Britain may actually have a chance here. Their conservatives over there are moderate democrats over in the US.

They are still a very social democratic country, all parties included.

If it was right wingers in the US, we would be in trouble:manny:
