The majority of guns used in Chicago for example originate from the surrounding states with lax gun laws.
Exactly. In fact its a testament to the laws that criminals have to travel out of state to get a weapon.
However, I'm not really passionate about the gun control issue until the following are realistic possibilities:
- There is a FEDERAL ban on guns and its enforced stringently in all 50 states.
- There is a tightening up of the borders to minimize smuggling.
- More on the wishful thinking side, the racist cacs have to give up their guns before anyone else.
Like you stated, the problem with places like Illinois is that their laws only work locally and you always can just drive a state over and grab a gun. It's not effective to just do it on a state by state basis. So, the next best thing in my mind, for me personally is to be able to practice my right to a gun as much as the next man, especially if shyt goes down with white supremacy becoming hip again in the mainstream.
Personally, just an aside, I enjoy guns from a engineering perspective. I especially love rifles and just the machinery of them. Some of them are beautiful machines.
I would love to own one of these.
