Under .500 as the team loses its 4th straight game tonight at Portland 94-101. Now 5-6. Just an awful 2nd half. This is the 3rd game where the team just fell apart in the 2nd half and 3rd straight game giving up 100 points. It's too clear that 1. the team misses Rubio and 2. Rick should really be taken to task over his rotations.

The good:

Josh Howard's been alright so far. He had 10 points and 7 rebounds in 22 minutes.

Knuckles: 24 and 13 with 3 steals.

With Love back, the team's rebounding edge is back. Outrebounded the Portland by 14

The bad:

where do I start? The guard play has been nonexistent the last 2 weeks or so. Just deplorable.

Portland shot 54% from the field, 11-25 from 3, and Matthews and Lillard had 58 points combined.

Their bench was awful, but what do we do? Play just as bad. Shved has cooled off. Dante has cooled off, and JJ can't facilitate at the moment. What does Rick Adelman do? DNP Derrick for a 2nd straight game. This L is on Adelman. Just play him. If he really wants him gone, playing him would be the best thing to do. Was Derrick uneven when he was out there? Yes. Were we winning? Yes. Just play him. Derrick should give him the luxury of easing Love back onto a team that needed bodies more than his production. I get it. He trusts his vets. He wants to win now. Derrick doesn't ideally fit. This is inexcusable, especially coming after his 2 best games of the year. Someone needs to take him to task on that because it's not fair and it's hurting the team. If he wants Derrick gone, fine. I've been saying that since he's been here. This only guarantees that he's around longer. Get it together Rick. You're gonna need Derrick, way more than you'll need Lou Amundson.

Lastly, Pek and AK had awful 2nd halves. Again, ease them into things. That's where Derrick and the Steamer can come in and play. You have depth. Use it wisely.

Game tomorrow at Golden State. If this continues, I don't think they win til Rubio gets back (which may be sooner than expected). This looks like the T'wolves pre-Ricky, and I couldn't fukk with that squad for 2 years. Get it together.

Wolves lose their 5th straight at Golden State 85-96. Now I remember why I didn't watch this team for 2 years. This is just futile execution. Blowing leads after the half, over-reliance on Kevin Love, and even bad rotation, which I didn't expect.

the good:

Derrick Williams: 10 points in 10 minutes. Had they played the hot hand, maybe things would be a little different, because Derrick even in a short burst, played like the player we expect him to be.

10 turnovers, 25 assists.

Lastly, the bench all in all was OK. They provided an energy boost, which unfortunately they've been doing all season.

the bad:

44 points given up to the backcourt. This is where missing Ricky has killed us, even at 5-2 the backcourts put in work. Only Lee has put in a decent defensive effort and because he's doing nothing offensively, it's hard to score with him in the lineup.

Keviin Love: 15 and 15, but 6-20 from the field. If he needs to sit out and work on his shooting before deciding to come back, because he's throwing everyone off right now. Worst of all, Rick coaches at times as if Love's the only player out there, so when Draymond Green shuts him down, he has no plan B, when plan B was working without him.

Again, 38% from the field, 5-27 from 3. The backcourt is a liability right now with Luke and Leezy not scoring. Now, Luke's dealing with a back injury, I get that, but what needs to happen now is what happened with Luke (kinda) last year: give those minutes to Shved and have Shved be the primary facilitator, because when Jose Jordan Barea goes into Heroball mode, everything falls apart.

Don't get it twisted. At full strength, I like this team. They can be a playoff team. When everything is going well, we can hang with anyone, but godfukkingdamn, this team should not be this fukking reliant on one Spanish PG. They're losing games to teams they will be fighting come playoff time. There's no good way to spin this and right now, nobody playing has the answer and the ones that might give the team a different look, Rick doesn't play enough.

5-7. Next game at Sacramento. Something needs to be changed in that backcourt. Otherwise, Ricky's gonna be coming back to a team whose season is over early.

oh, forgot to say, Rick's rotations have cost them at least 3 of these 5 games

Putting in Ridnour late: Lee cramped up and shyt, they were losing by so much anyway)

the first Golden State game was just them running on fumes, but subbing out Lee for Luke late was criminal.

Denver game: not using D-Will at all while leaving a gassed AK and Love

Portland: that was credited to Portland's crazy outside shooting

Tonight: not riding with the hot hand even at the expense of Love.

Good news: Rubio may be back first week of Dec.
