The only reason yoga was in a Christian church to begin with was because White people love to appropriate anything and everything and they turned it from a religious practice based in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, into a form of exercise. The Bristol Church was literally correct in taking it out, because it is at odds with Christianity.
Then again, I don't give a shyt about religion so :manny:

So this form of exercise which has been appropriated and no longer has anything to do with the initial religious practice is at odds with Christianity how?

Yoga exercises are....................exercises. No matter what name you give to the scertain postures and stretches at the end of the day they are.......................postures and stretches / exercises.

If you call an orange a poisinous fruit from hell - what then become of the fresh orange you picked from the tree? Does what you call it change the reality of the orange? In the same way if you call exercises and stretches "spiritual" or from "satan" or "not christian" - what then becomes of the exercises that strengthen your body and calms your mind which therefor provides energy and health? Obviously NOTHING. It is still exercises and stretches.

Exercise is good for the body and mind. In my opinion if you are truly "Christian" this would be something thats encouraged because as some christiains would say, your body is indeed a fabulous creation from "God" which can be viewed as the 'house' of the 'soul.' Should you not then want to keep that 'house' clean and in shape so as to be healthy and capable and therefore have a healthy and capable soul??

Do christians not believe this?

the origin of yoga is a spiritual practice rooted in hinduism. you can attempt to 'extract' the exercise, but its origins and original intent is well known

go to a blood hood and do the c-walk and claim you are 'just exercising' and see what reaction you get

What does its origins have to do with the irrefutable benefits of the yoga EXERCISES (i hope we are clear that we are talking of the yoga EXERCISES? (for the sake of convo... what would you say is the intent of yoga?)

Also, if a person happens to be in a blood hood, and starts c-walking making the claim that they are exercising or just dancing with clearly no motive of gang banging or set tripping / repping and so on, and the bloods react violently...........so? The issue isnt the person just dancing, the issue is with the idiots who are reacting violently.
