She brought illegal drugs into russia. For people to use the phrase "wrongfully detained" in Griner's case is a slap to every prisoner who was ACTUALLY wrongfully detained. The ones that didn't break any law whatsoever

the fact that an arms dealer who was directly involved in the deaths of innocent people is released because of Griner's is dumb is kind of inexcusable. Unfortunately she will likely be seen as some kind of hero, and be met with open arms, with the narrative being that "justice has prevailed", and that makes me sick.

When I was at the gym and seent them talking about it on CNN and it said “She wasn’t read her rights” I’m just running on the elliptical like “nikka, you in a whole different country expecting Miranda Rights?”
Not that I want her locked, I’d prefer they just let her out cuz it’s more than obvious what they doing. But it’s extremely disingenuous to act like she ain’t put herself in this mix AND like you said it’s an insult to the people actually locked up wrongfully or even the people that were convicted but should be compassionately released.
