That's not true at all with WNBA salaries in it's current state. Someone will take the risk if the money is right as you still have former NBA players playing in other countries even in spite of their issues with the US.

The majority of them are going to go where the most money is. Let's not sit here and pretend like that isn't the case especially with how low WNBA salaries is. If the superstar players aren't making much bread and having to play over seas for more money, how much do you think the lesser tier players are?

Hell, some of the coli makes more than players drafted into the WNBA and that's not a shot at all. Why else do you think the WNBA is out here taking up donations from sponsors to help increase salaries?

If you can still go somewhere that you can still make good money, I don’t wanna say have more freedom but maybe be in an environment that’s a lot more chill or not as strict, and still be in a beautiful place. I can see more people choosing that.

I mean right now, any coli breh could work as a civilian and go over seas to the Middle East like Iraq/Iran and make $80K in 7 months or up to $200K a year for a few years on contract stuff.
