The irony in this is that Wade low key called Kobe a statpadder and said that's not really his thing. Yet the OP calls them statpadders in the thread title anyway. The lack of reading comprehension skills displayed on here is pathetic.

more like you lack understanding comprehension
stat padding = caring about stats more than just playing the game
fg% is on the stat sheet homey.....not just points/rebs/asts
Bron and Wade admitted that they would rather not take shots that would hurt THEIR FG% above just playing the game to win. Individual stats should not take precedence over winning the game.
This would be the equivalent of Adrian Peterson refusing to take a carry late in a close game when the other team has 11 guys in the box to stop an obvious run play so that AP doesn't hurt his YPC average. Its beyond stupid to play the game for numbers over just winning and letting the stats fall where they may. That is what defines a great player. Not someone who goes into the game saying I'm gonna shoot 50% and then stop shooting when they dip below 50%. Just play the game. Don't play the stat sheet.
You can hate Kobe all you want. Call him selfish etc. But you can't tell me he cares about his stats more than he does winning. This is a guy who always throws up half court heaves at the end of quarters and halves never giving a shyt about FG%. He's also the guy who Steve Kerr said during the Heat game that all he needs is one shot to go in to think he's hot.
If Bron/Wade start a game off 4-12, you best believe they'll stop taking what would normally be good looks to save their FG%. Kobe/Durant don't care whether they start 4-12, if the next shot is a good look, they're taking it and believe it'll go in.
Give me someone like Kobe/Durant who only care about the W not the box score.
