The only issue with game 1 was that Bron didn't step up in the 4th when the rest of the team cooled off. It's his job to do what's best for the team and in that instance being more aggressive offensively was what he should have done and he didn't. His fault, no excuses for that shyt. However nikkas made good on the looks that Bron created for them last night and they won a blowout so I'm not seeing what the issue is today. Bron is unselfish, in some instances to a fault. You think the nikka went to a team with Wade and Bosh to score 30 a night. :heh: This is more in line with how he actually wants to play. If the team needs him to score and he refuses to answer the call then yeah he warrants any criticism he would get. Ironically he won't get as much as the Koberiders/Bron haters would hope because he's got a ring and Bosh, Wade's health, and Spo have emerged as scapegoats. :umad:

This post shows the stark difference between "LAKERS" fans and "KOBE" fans.

Pretty much. If I ran this site I'd ban the roaches who make a dozen Kobe related threads a week, the forum would be better off. There's nothing worthwhile in these threads - no comedy, no insight, just some kind of unstable hissy fit.

the damage control, cut it out

We know it's eating you up inside that Lebron is playing like this in the Finals and showing how limited offensively he is instead of putting on a show. I know no Lebron fans out there want to see him playing passive with a 6 point game through 3 qtrs on the big stage and then watch Mario Chalmers steal the spotlight while Lebron over-compensates for his earlier lackluster play in garbage time. That's gotta disappoint you no matter how many essays you write up.

:pachaha:

scoring is one facet of the game friend maybe one day you can wrap your feeble brain around that :takedat: :takedat: :takedat:

My brother's keeper
so we agree the shooters were the reason they won last night then right?

and bruh, keep it real.. this aint the same LeBron from the INDY series, let alone the regular season This is 2011 LeBron, only this time he's protected by shooters. Same passive mentality.
Breh, the whole point of the Heat is nobody on the team should NEED 40 to win. He was passive in the 1st half and then got it together, anything else you talking 'bout is irrelevant.

Typical scorned-girlfriend SOHH :gerbil: thread.

It's a two point game in the 3rd, and then:

2:31 Manu Ginobili lost ball turnover (LeBron James steals) 62-64
2:25 62-67 Ray Allen makes 25-foot three point jumper (Mario Chalmers assists)
1:59 Tim Duncan misses 11-foot two point shot 62-67
1:58 62-67 Mario Chalmers defensive rebound
1:50 62-69 LeBron James makes driving layup (Mario Chalmers assists)
1:27 63-69 Chris Andersen shooting foul (Tim Duncan draws the foul)
1:27 Tim Duncan makes free throw 1 of 2 63-69
1:27 Tim Duncan misses free throw 2 of 2 63-69
1:15 Tony Parker makes 10-foot two point shot 65-69
0:59 65-72 Mike Miller makes 25-foot three point jumper (LeBron James assists)

And they never look back. :whoo:

But you had to actually watch the game to see it.

I'm convinced dudes don't really watch ball like that...

The Spurs are basically packing the paint and sending soft doubles at Bron every time he touches the ball. They are basically gambling and seeing if Bron can consistently make the right play when he's doubled because they want the ball out of his hands. Why do you think Chris Bosh had so many mid range jumpers? Why do you think the Heat had so many good looks from 3, even though they didn't really start falling until the 2nd half. The Spurs can afford to pack the paint because 2 of the Heat's 5 starters simply can't shoot the ball (Haslem and Wade).

As a Heat fan, Bron is playing good team basketball, why would I want him to shoot over two defenders just to say he did when Mike Miller or Ray Allen is wide open in the corner for a 3?

When Lebron gets in the post, they bring the hard double ASAP and get it out of his hands, which often lead to him getting a hockey assist last night as the Spurs couldn't rotate fast enough to contest the shot after the 2nd pass. Him posting up with the starting lineup is dumb, as like I said above, him getting doubled and passing it out to an open D.Wade/Haslem for a 15 foot jumper is basically a win for the Spurs defense because they can't shoot.

That's why the real lethal lineup was when they surrounded Bron with shooters in Rio-Miller-Ray (along with Birdman). San Antonio could no longer afford to pack the paint and Bron was making them pay when the help defender cheated over by making the right passes. This also gave him more room to operate in the post, he just wasn't hitting shots he usually makes. It happens.

Or do you think Chris Bosh was creating all those wide open mid range jumpers on his own? Or were Mike Miller and Ray Allen creating separation off the dribble and nailing those 3's? Or was Chalmers getting around Parker on his own on the pick and roll? Come on man.

:smugdraper:

They ain't double teaming Bron until he starts to drive. They're giving him the outside shot. Come one breh. We see this. To Bron's credit, he does initiate the drive to attract another defender, and open up a teammate. But he clearly does not have confidence on his outside shot at the moment.

:heh: Silly ass threadstarter...Bron doesn't really play passive...when it appears like Bron is answering the oppossing defense's prayers and giving them their only chance at winning by allowing himself to be contained by soft doubles and not putting pressure on the defense and swinging the ball and allowing the fate of his team to fall on whether random role playing shooters are streaky that night or not, like he did in game 5 against boston in 2010...the entire finals in 2011...and every quarter of this year's finals before last's night blowout 4th garbage time...it's really just the purity and genius of his game shining through, one of his many virtues...they lost in 2011 not because he averaged like 16 points or some shyt (really think hoops fan everywhere should retroactively commend him for not "forcing it")...but because his shooters let him down...if Duncan and Parker decide to actually show up if and when Bron has another one of these genius level pure basketball games, and they happen to lose...the burden falls squarely on the shoulders of mario chalmers

You're right, silly me. LeBron's not playing passive at all, he has just decided to reduce his role on the biggest stage to give his teammates shine. His unselfishness should be commended, what a dumb thread.

Do nikkas really confuse a bad shooting night with a bad offensive game?

Lebron was firing off passes, collapsing and shifting the defensive attention with his presence, properly spacing the floor, and getting his teammates open.

Lebron, more than anyone, knows you don't beat the Spurs with Iso/Hero ball and is affecting the game in a myriad of ways by virtue of being so damn good.

Why was Bosh getting wide open midrange shots? Because Duncan is constantly patrolling the paint to check for Lebron. Lebron is standing in the corner because he's a good enough 3 point shooter that the defense has to respect it but he also forces the interior defense to have to constantly be on the lookout for a cutting or slashing Lebron.

Pop and the Spurs's entire gameplay is to force the rest of the Heat players to beat them while completely focused on stopping Lebron. Their entire defensive scheme is predicated on stopping Lebron right now on some "Jordan Rules" stuff.

Lebronms game right now is the perfect example of people not realizing why Lebrob is such a special player. He was able to have a massive impact on the game despite not being the premier scorer.

LeBron was not that active last night, stop

Also, that bit you said about stars not being able to beat the Spurs, thats false. Kobe has destroyed them by himself a couple of times.

LeBron was standing by the 3 point line cause he was passive and disengaged. Thats NOT the way he usually plays the game.

LeBron was passive and broke until the rest of the team caught fire, then he padded his stats. nikka had 8 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assist midway through the 3rd.:dead:
