This is the best time to safegaurd the position because Peyton arm is getting weaker. I doubt he going to retire this year but I don't think he going to see out his contract.

Draft Carr or Mettenberger and let them learn from Peyton for a year and two.

Broncos should think about their future w/o Manning right now.

They're trying to win a Super Bowl while Manning's still there and JUST spent a high draft pick on a backup. They're not drafting another QB in the first. Too many holes to fill

So yall got too many holes now. :comeon: CB and MLB are yall prbolems. You acting like the whole team is basura.

:heh: even w/ Decker gone they're def not going after a wide WR. When you have a qb like mannning w/ demayrius, julius, and welker, that next WR is a plug and play guy. They need to focus everything on defense and oline

they've focsued on the front 7 and oline already the last couple years....if decker leaves, that really only leaves d thomas and j thomas as pass options...i like welker, but he's long in the tooth and dont have that much longer....they would need a legit #2 wr....and with this draft being so deep at wr, that's what they should go after he they dont go after cb first...of course they could take one in the later rounds, but if they can get one of the top 3-4 wrs with the pick and dont see a top cb worth taking, they should jump on that...

I gotta disagree. If you watched this game WR was not the problem. Peyton doesn't need a first round talent and wideout especially as his third receiving option. The problem with drafting WR, is historically the WR position takes the longest to see real development and the clock is ticking for this team. They need to go DB, LB, OL even if a WR is BPA. Peyton has already shown he can work magic with the Brandon Stockley''s (4th round pick), Austin Collie (4th round pick), and Pierre Garcon (6th round pick). the production that he'll get out of a WR in the 1st/2nd as his 3rd WR threat isn't much different than what he'll get from a 4th/5th rounder. That's difference between Manning, Brees, Brady and other QBs. they don't need to be loaded with 1st round talent at every WR/RB position

So you still think that is something that is going to work?

nikkas always a prisoner of the moment. Manning obviously can still play at a high level and they did have a LOT of injuries. I have no idea what their roster looks like in September but they'll be winning another 11+ games next year

Every QB that is a starting QB in the NFL is already playing at a high level. :camby:with that passive statement. CAN HE WIN A SB WHILE BEING A LEADER AND INFLUENTIAL IN THAT SB TITLE AND WHEN!? :leostare:
