Keep slandering the BX if you want. It scares a lot of undesirable people away, which is fine with me. Being from the BX is like having a Purple Heart. That shyt rings bells anywhere. It’s like a laminated pass that grants you some higher level of respect than you would get if you from anywhere else. We own our imperfections more than any spot.

So yeah, we’re fine with the slander, especially since nobody says that shyt to our faces. Nothing like our energy,

love seeing my fellow BX heads do it in the decimal realm.

shyt parking and traffic plus it’s dirty as hell, and I mean that literally. :yeshrug: I remember parking near Fordham road, leaving my car to pay the meter. After a few minutes I smell something foul and notice there’s shyt smeared all over the mat in my car. I look out the car and see a fresh pile of shyt just laying there on the ground.:hhh: The only borough where I just see piles of shyt randomly laying on the side walk. :francis:

It’s no hate though. I love the people there. And of course y’all got the baddest women in the entire city, so it’s not all bad. :yeshrug:

I've been in these Bronx streets my entire life and I can assure you the slander is well deserved.

Statistically, we are the poorest, fattest and least educated borough and we like it that way. Keeps the gentrifiers out for the most part

You can let a realtor fool you into thinking that 2 bedroom in Olinville Heights is in an up & coming neighborhood if you want to but Gun Hill been Gun Hill and never gonna change

Actually, the Bronx has been getting gentrified for around the past ten years. South Bronx(particularly Mott Haven) is radically different than lets say in 2012. I don't see all of the Bronx gentrified, but I can definitely see the South Bronx being completely gentrified, while the more spacious areas like Wakefield and Woodlawn becoming "fake suburbs"(think Morris Park or Laurelton/Cambria Heights in Queens) in the next 20 years.

Olinville heights bananas but that Bronx slander ain’t warranted. Just gotta know how to move in the Bronx. Know when to be somewhere when to be out and when not to be there

NEW YORK CITY
Lol Bronx pride is stronger than Bronx hate. Is what it is. Born and raised and love my borough. Most culturally diverse borough. Some of the best parks and shopping centers in the city. Hottest caribbean and latin music/food scene. Best summer block parties. Still that authentic 80s and 90s hit-the-streets, the-whole-block-is-family NYC feel. Come to the Bronx on a beautiful sunny July day, see how we get it poppin, and tell me we not the livest borough all day.

:blessed:

Yeah a lot of the hate is ignorant and annoying. I work in television broadcatsing. One of my first jobs was for News 12 the Bronx. The place was in the borough but it was full of white folks from Long Island, NJ, Westchester every place but the Bronx. So of course they all had paranoid chips on their shoulders about having to work in the Bronx. Most of them were scared to fukking death to walk anywhere outside the building gate. The amount of ignorant shyt I would hear...sometimes from other black people no less. :snoop: That was always annoying as fukk to watch black folks express their fear of other black people and their resentment of "the ghetto" in front of white folks, trying to appease their racism. :snoop: I was one of the few that wore my black pride and my Bronx pride all over that motherfukker. Made it known I aint the one to come bytch about "the Bronx" too.

They were always shocked when I would go outside on my break just to chill out, grab a sandwich, get some fresh air. It was like an act of courage to these cacs.

U must be talking about that Jimbo's across the street:mjgrin:
