They could name Abraham Lincoln High School the Das EFX School for the Performing Arts for all I care. This is nothing to get up in arms about, and the fact that your main argument for Biggie getting a street named after him is "bu-bu-bu-but Christopher Columbus did bad shyt too, and he ain't even do all that shyt he get credit for" is hilarious. Like I said, if Biggie did something worthy of that kind of honor, nothing that he did as a negative would matter. But as of right now, the board doesn't see it that way. Deal with it 2000 miles away

What did the Pilgrims do to deserve Thanksgiving? What did Columbus do that people hadn't done 500+ years before him?
I can do this all day. Like I said, it's not that it got voted down. It's that they used his background as a reason, when this country routinely commemorates far worse people, in much larger ways.

Her argument against the petition is bullshyt coming 3 days after Columbus Day, named after a mass murderer/slave trader that didn't discover anything. But BIG rapped about selling crack though.
No, I meant to say the Pilgrims since Thanksgiving was originally attributed to the 1623 celebration by the colony at Plymouth. Less than a year later they started murdering the same Indians that helped them survive in the first place.
Of course it's beyond the scope of naming a street after a rapper. That's my point. We've been doing this more or less since day 1 in this country, why stop now at a rapper?
