There's aggravating factors that make sentencing better or worse for people who get convicted and that is determined by your actions before, during, and after the crime occurred. This bytch called his union first instead of help so he knew he had fukked up but still made a conscious decision as an enforcer of the law to completely disregarded fams life not once but twice but this won't get mentioned at sentencing
