They base their schedule around their down time and fit sleep into it.

We have had them checking out at the weirdest hours ever and they
came in at weird hours.

Complete a load in a city by 12pm.
Drive to their company/headquarters by 6pm
Ask for pick-up around 6:30pm

Sleep until maybe 7am and leave by 9am :manny:

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Do they give yall niccas hotel expenses? Where do yall sleep in like a different city and shyt?
The hotel you stay at the Academy is provided by the school. Its a regular ass La Quita Inn ran by Indians.
After that they start paying you so they don't provide you with a free hotel anymore

You choose when you drive. Some people only drive 8 hours total a day, with breaks in between them

Anyway end of day 3. Our first day behind the wheel. My first day in a truck(and a manual)

We had to straight line back.

When it was my turn I literally didn't know what the hell I was doing, at all. Left leg was shaking everytime I pushed the clunch in. Drifting to the sides, just couldn't do it. Couldnt adjust my mirrors correctly etc..

After first break, I finally got the hang of it, with help from one of the better instructors and my roommate who happens to be an ex CDL holder.
I started doing it pretty much flawlessly.

One of the guys in our class wasn't so luckily.
Our first round doing it, one of the instructors(the drill sergant) was yelling at him cuz he kept fuccin up. At one point dude let off the clutch too fast and damn near hit the instructor :mjlol:

Needless to say he got out the tractor, and drove off. :ehh:

One thing I dislike, was that the 2 instructors we had(group of 14 students) they just sat at the front and helped when needed. By front I don't mean in the trailer, I mean by the building, in front of the cones.

For alot of us(like me) this was our first times driving a truck, so I would of prefered if a teacher was in the cabin with us until we got the hang of it, THEN let us do it on our own, instead of having us do it on our own from the jump. I also didn't like how they had the students spot, I feel like instructors should have been spotting as they can tell more quickly when a trailer is started to shift in either direction. By the time a student spotter notices a shift, its usually at the point of no return to where you have to pull up to straighten it out.

What I like:
I know how to straight line back(for now)

What I disliked:
I hate dealing with clutches :scusthov:

I hate shifting gears :gag:
