Micah Johnson was/is the worst possible thing to happen to the Black Lives Matter movement. As I've said before, killing cops isn't the answer

The man who was instrumental to making the first released recording of the Alton Sterling shooting go viral was arrested less than 24 hours later on charges of “assault and battery,” a move that he says was an act of police retaliation, according to a report by Carlos Miller with Photography Is Not a Crime (PINAC).

Alton Sterling’s death was still only a local controversy before Chris LeDay shared the video of the killing to his roughly 13,000 Instagram followers, 6,00o Twitter followers, and 2,000 Facebook friends. The video was then shared thousands of times, including by New York Daily News writer and Black Lives Matter supporter Shaun King, who shared it less than an hour after LeDay’s post.

“I wanted everybody to see this video,” LeDay told PINAC. “I wanted it to go viral. The police were already saying their body cams fell off and I wanted to show there was video of the shooting.”

The very next day, while trying to get through a security checkpoint to go to his job as an aerospace ground equipment technician at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, LeDay was surrounded and detained by ten military police officers, some of whom carried M-16 rifles.

White people will ALWAYS take care of their own. As the days go on I become more and more irritated with the fact people try to use the excuse that these officers were "afraid for their lives" and when evidence surfaces that prove other wise they want to punish those that exposed the truth.

Why punish that man for exposing the truth? Hopefully in the days to come more and more of these racist a$$holes will be exposed. The truth is being brought to the light and they are squirming because they don't like the spotlight.

What I don't understand about police officers is that when they graduated the police academy they knew that it would be a certain amount of danger that came along with the job. So when people say they were afraid... why? Why would you be afraid of an unarmed man or women? Because he or she is black? That's some straight up bullshyt...

That's not fear, it's legalized murder. All of it serves to keep a population in check. Murder, incarceration, drugs, poverty, etc. all assist in the control of a population. The police nationwide need a serious reform, I think the police chief and the captain for your area should be elected by the people just like any other public official, and I think it should be a requirement that the police in your area LIVE in your area.

It's crazy that these "public servants" are given jobs and districts to manage by people that have no association to those said districts. The cops need to be treated just like the alderman and mayor, they gotta be up for a vote. Too many cops that are from an entirely different background and socioeconomic status working in these black neighborhoods. The proverbial "fox guarding the henhouse". Of course, there are entire white communities eating of this police sh*t so you would have to fight tooth and nail for these changes.
