It's not like he's some dead end rapper who can't do shyt on his own. Joey has money, he has connects for beats and videos...this is not some expensive venture for a label unless they're purging rap shyt. Which is the case right now at a lot of labels.
If he can get out of his contract he should do so and go independent. He's a tv/movie star, he's not gonna have any issues getting promo and booking interviews. And beats wise he won't have any issue paying Statik and whoever else is on the album.
