"By uploading your music, you represent that you will use Google Play for personal use only, with your legally acquired music"
:usure:

Now, I buy all my music these days....but in the past I did DL a fair amount of music. I think it's a cool service, but I'm leery about people offering something so good for free when the competitors are charging money at a certain point, and when it's widely apparent(and by some method provable) that many people in this day and age with large music collections acquired part of it thru "illegal" means.....and on top of all that it's Google which ties everything in from your phone, apps, location, email, name, etc.

I have a few albums on there, but putting my whole collection on there has me kinda :whoa:

This is how they got our ancestors on the boat. :to::damn:

What should I be worried about :aicmon:

y'all dont figure they could possibly be keeping track on who's uploading a bunch of music they didnt pay for? Why wouldnt it be perfect & easy to know a persons name, location, and everything else if the RIAA randomly got suspicious and wanted to know who was uploading a bunch of "illegally acquired" music. Google wouldn't sell any of it's user out would it? :comeon:

Call me paranoid, but not one of my songs is going near Google Music. All this "but how would they know" shyt...guess what? I don't know, and I don't care. Putting your music in the hands of Google is just not a good idea IMO.

But y'all keep doing you. I'm running with Subsonic, and will continue to do so. Besides, even if I wanted to go that route, the song limit on GM (and iTunes Match for that matter) just wouldn't cut it for me.

:yeshrug: Like I said, don't know...don't care. It's just not a bad idea to be paranoid about anything when it comes to Google in this day and age.

And that's what Subsonic is. It's an app that let's you stream your music right from your HD. Only drawback is your CPU has to be on, and the app running for it to work. Not a big deal to me though, as I never shut my CPU down.
