um yeah they can
the way the draft works you draft a guy hes staying there for 5-7 years

glenn robinson was selected with the first pick in the 1994 draft
ray allen was drafted as well
vin baker drafted as well

look im a raptors fan, a team that has lost, damon stoudamire, vince carter, tracy mcgrady, chris bosh, out of the playoffs time and time again, a franchinse whose biggest free agent signing was a washed up hakeem olajuwon, all you need is a few good drafts and a great gm who wont sign stupid ass contracts and you can come back.

oh is that all?

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
The Dodgers were worth 800mm and were sold for 2 Billion :mjlol:

Of course, the year before the Dodgers sold, Forbes valued the Dodgers at $800 million, so it’s not like too much credence can be placed in these rankings.

Matt Miller, editor of Bloomberg Billionaires, told Yahoo the $2-billion Dodgers sale changed everything because it “really showed that you have to value all of the assets when it comes to the teams, you can't just do revenue from ticket sales, concessions and stadium-type deals and merchandising. Really the driver of this is regional sports networks.”

Dodgers' sale increased valuations of MLB teams by 35% - Los Angeles Times

Why are you comparing the Dodgers to the Bucks :wtf:

There were 3 NBA teams with estimated values of 1 billion by Forbes :yeshrug:

The Hawks tried to sell the team a year ago and couldn't get 350 mil :dead:

:damn:
Glen Taylor tried to sell the T'wolves under the same conditions Herb Kohl just did and scared everyone away but Flip Saunders away, and that's because they're friends.

That says a whole lot when someone will agree to keep the Bucks in Milwaukee but go :whoa: when keeping the Wolves in Minny is written into the deal

obv

but milwaukee bucks is the tampa bay rays of the nba and still sold for 550 mill without a arena basically.

the thing is that no one is realizing this is the most a nba team has sold for and yet kohl is still keeping like 10-15 percent prob

just 3 years ago the dtroit pistons sold for 325 mill

golden state warriors sold for 450 mill in 2011 and are now valued at 800 mill

and jsut last year
Kings officially sold to Ranadive for record $534 million

and the bucks topped that.

the lakers are prob worth like 1.5 bill
The difference is that part of the sale included a move towards getting a new arena. The Rays would print money if they got outta the Trop. Ask the Twins. Same shyt with the A's. The A's would throw Moneyball in the bushes if Cisco Field ever came to life

Idk, it's about that TV money too. If the Braves could get a new deal on TV, we could top what NYY and LAD is getting but... :damn:

Worst TV deal in sports history for it's fanbase :to:

Still the best team in Baseball tho :win:

As much as I don't like the Braves, man, having the Braves on TBS was great.

Yankees, Mets, Braves all on locally

ESPN would have a game. :ohlawd:
