I wouldn't trade a 1st this year and it would have to be a confidential pick 1st in 2014.

This is why the whole "owners are colluding by not signing Victor Cruz" isn't accurate to me.

It hasn't been done in 10 years for a reason. Giving up a 1st for a player & then paying him on top of that just isn't popular unless it's a QB...am i right?

You are dead right.

Corners aren't that valuable, there's really only one position that can get that kind of treatment.

I respect you, so don't take this the wrong way, but

HE'S NOT A fukkING RENTAL! The team that makes a move for Revis will have an intent to keep him beyond this year. Otherwise we'd just keep him and get the comp pick for ourselves. We're guaranteed at least 4 for next year, then Revis the year after if all else fails.

There's no sense in dealing Revis for a replacement that will never ever be on his level at CB or anywhere else.

He's coming off a serious knee injury and is looking for a big pay day. a 1st is downright silly.

If he's coming off a serious knee injury, looking for a big pay day, who would then give him the money he wants?

If that's a risk no other team will take, then fine. It makes it all the better for the Jets to keep him long term, which is what a rational Jet fan would want anyway.

Your squad isn't going anywhere. Might as well get some value for him.

A 2nd round pick in 2013 & a 1st round pick in 2014 will suffice.

I know it doesn't sound like much, but there's one thing I've learned from watching sports; When you are trading your star player, you will never get fair value in return. See it all the time in basketball.

We wont be good at all, but next year's draft will be alot better. So a 1st round pick will be alot more valuable next year. Maybe we could even use that extra 1st to trade up and get Teddy Bridgewater.

Jets need to take whatever they can get, and move on.

Or get him next year for free????

Jets fans remind me of magic/hawk fans. Asking for the world then end up getting nothing :russ:

I doesnt make sense tho

The rams and vikings both need a WR and both have 2 1st round picks

Wouldnt you rather sign the proven guy and give up the pick rather then drafting a WR and risking him becoming a bust

None of the WRs in the draft are locks to be any good so why not sign the proven guy if your plan is to use one of those pick on a WR anyway?
