Reviews for this are looking solid so far. Probably check this out at some point
I much prefer Yorgos doing dumb humor like this and The Lobster to Poor Things and Kinds of Kindness.
This didn't work for me. It was pretty lifeless for 90% of it. I love plemmoms but he is best as supporting not as lead. Yorgos collabs with Emma are teaching the point of diminishing returns. and the ending should have been a certain scene, then it shows us for another 5 minutes what was already implied.

Film Auteurs often utilize the same lead/supporting actors in their films because they can write/direct to their strengths. The actor becomes a Muse of sorts, thats why you often see some of the most acclaimed filmmakers using the same actors because they develop a “shorthand” of sorts thats hard to reproduce with other actors who may not get the directors quirks or vision.
Tarantino- Uma Thurman/Sam Jackson
Spike Lee- Denzel Washington
Ryan Coogler- Michael B Jordan
Scorsese- Deniro/Di’Caprio
Jordan Peele- Daniel Kaluuya
Christopher Nolan- Cillian Murphy
And so on and so forth.
