I think there's two different discussions here.

1.- Is this a smart deal? Considering our needs and the other options out there, everything points to this contract being at the very least team friendly enough for it to not fukk the team over. All the cap space we have will be able to take on all that front load money without fukking up other F.A signings so I'm about it, If for some reason Jimmy crashes and burns, we get rid of him by year 3 so


2.- Does Jimmy actually "deserve" this kind of deal after just 7 starts? To me this is kinda irrelevant considering that very rarely sports are fair - Kaep being a prime example - and overpaying people will always happen in any sport. Besides you gotta consider the context of this whole thing. Given how desperate we were, it kinda doesn't matter if we over payed or not for him, specially when it's a team friendly deal.
