I was hype when I heard we resigned Jimmy G but my friends are hating, what's the deal?

Rodgers got paid after 6-7 games as well

Jimmy won’t even be the highest paid qb after Cousins and Rodgers get their new deals

If we franchised him we would of paid 26 mil next year and if he balled out like he most likely is we would of had to top cousins and Rodgers contract to keep him. After what we saw in these five games with him it was a wise investment with all the cap space we have and with it being front loaded we still have space for players coming off their rookie deals in a few years

the deal is pretty similar to Kaeps deal is that we have all leverage after a couple of years. the frontloaded amount is pretty crazy for the amount of games he started, that much I can agree on.

theres still a pretty decent chance people will hamper on his weaknesses - but again, we can cut him in two years if he sucks.

Id prefer franchise tag and Im not crazy about the contract- but I dont think you can say paraag got bent over. deal is team-friendly considering we have shytload of cap room for next couple of years and then the backend of that deal is team-friendly. those are the years where if hes above average we can contend provided our D is good
