A lion has a very different digestive tract than human beings. :unimpressed:

Modern day hunter gatherers regularly go days without food as they track the animals they are trying to kill. Our ancestors used to do the same.

I used the lion as an example because they haven't had modernity change their eating patterns while we humans have changed how we live dramatically compared to our ancestors.

I’ve heard guys say they eat one meal a day and still gain muscle on a calorie deficit. 48-72 hrs tho :picard:

Its super easy. I never get hungry. My energy usually peaks 48 hours into my fast.

All you gotta do is shock your body the first time. Then its quickly adapts making it a breeze to fast that long.

Not really. I still eat the same I've only changed my eating frequency. Now instead of eating everyday I only eat once every 3 days. I still eat plenty of "junk food" like Pizza and Burgers. It just now happens in one sitting every 3 days. With that said, I also try to eat healthy foods like eggs, chicken, vegetables, and fruits as well so that my meals are as nutritous as possible. But I do not run away from eating a couple of slices of pizza or some ice cream for dessert.

This is what people don't get about weight loss. Our weight is controlled by our bodies hormones. In particular the hormone insulin. When insulin levels are high your body does not burn stored fat for fuel. When insulin levels are low your body will burn stored fat for fuel. To lower insulin levels to the point where fat burning begins you need to fast for 24+ hours. And obviously the longer your insulin levels remain low the longer you burn fat. So it doesn't really matter what you eat. As long as you fast long enough your body will go right into fat burning mode and burn stored body fat. This is how I've managed to get lean as fukk while still eating foods like Pizza and Burgers that most will say are unhealthy.

So your meal consist of 3000 calories and high carbs and you fast for 3 after with water and salt? Pizza slices can range

Pre-workout supplements are the dumbest thing you can do. Working out in a fasted state burns more fat and leads to better gains. I don't even use protein shakes. All supplements are a waste of money.

Not all supplements homie....Selenium is great for many things dealing with your health. Vitamin D, A, etc.

Bro got zero energy on his regimen:pachaha:

On a 3 day fast this week I completed a nearly 2 hour workout where I did 10 sets to failure for every upper body muscle group except for back. That means 10 sets of chest presses to failure. 10 sets of shoulder presses to failure. 10 sets of triceps push downs to failure. And 10 sets of bicep curls to failure. I felt insane pumps and blood flow in my upper body.

Stop falling for these myths that you need to eat to get in work at the gym. Once your body adapts to fasting you will have insane amounts of energy in the gym even when you are 3 days into a fast.

I'm not trying to be brolic. I'm trying to be as lean and ripped as I possibly can. Trying to get in that sub-10% body fat range at around 160 lbs. I have zero interest in getting bigger than that.
Well since your method is working so good why not show us some results?

You added 6 lbs of muscle. Where did the macromolecules that were used to construct and repair your muscles come from?

As long as you have some body fat on you you'll be fine fasting for 3 days. This is only dangerous if you are sub-5% body fat. This is how our ancestors used to live. You think people 100,000 years ago were eating everyday? Hunter-gatherers who live today typically go days without eating as they track the animals they are trying to kill.

Fasting has so many health benefits its insane.

I'm aware of the benefits of it. I do intermittent fasting from time to time. However you're talking about not eating for 3 days and even saying no food and water for 48 hours. Dry fasting is just straight up dumb. Our bodies need water more than food.

Breh, you're telling me you're eating only one meal every three days, don't drink any water 48 hours at a time and you're still maintaining a regular gym routine? These are either major :duck:or you're going to end up in a hospital for all the stress you're putting your body through.

For the record, I only do the 48 hour dry fast every 2 weeks. I'm not doing it all the time. Dry fasting (which is no food or water) is way more intense than a water fast (which is just having no food). When I dry fast I do not lift weights because its so intense. The most I ever do at the gym is just do a brisk walk on the track machines.

But yes I do maintain a regular gym routine on 3 day water fasts where I consume zero calories and only drink water. Its super easy once your body adapts to this lifestyle. Its easy because my body kicks into ketosis and I get all the energy I need to go hard in the gym.

When your body is in ketosis you feel as energized as you would eating regularly. Most of yall have never fasted continously so you have no idea how it feels. You instead just go off assumptions.

“Our ancestors used to do it” isn’t a legitimate argument
