Yo what's good people? Hope everyone's good. I said I would create a thread to follow on from this one http://www.thecoli.com/threads/would-thecoli-support-one-of-their-own-artists.219413/ by @The_One as I'd had similar ideas previously so here it is.

Would appreciate it if this could be sticky'd to give people a chance to see it. I'm hoping that this will be something ongoing that we can come back to, and actually practically build together with.

There are many people here and there is strength in unity and a collective. We have potential and power we can use, and everyone can benefit. The downfall of many is selfishness, but we can do some serious and great things together if we combine in various ways.

I am willing to help people in various ways, with my skills, contacts, knowledge/experience and financially also. As long as the people are cool and it's mutual it's all good, as I love Hip Hop and I respect the culture, and our MC's, producers, Hip Hop heads, businessmen and women etc.

As I said I have various ideas so this will be an ongoing things. I will break down a few ideas now.

1: We have some MC's and producers with talent here, there has been work here that I have seen that I respect. There are various ways we can support them. I need to hear more of the MC's on here, but people like @MC Metaphysical and @AsAboveSoBelow I have really been feeling. There are various things we can do to support eachother, one idea I had in regards to getting more shine is working with some more established underground artists (would have to be realistic with who we pick as otherwise the costs would be too high) but featuring with them could be beneficial and if there are any very dope producers here they could also spit over their beats, so the producer and a few artists could benefit from that. It's good for the CV and we can utilize the name value and the already existing fan bases to build up what they and we are doing. If many of us put in some cash what we could do is have shared ownership of the acapellas etc and can do with it as we wish. We could do this in a sense of everybody putting in $10 or something and then building, or for this particular idea could even put more, I would actually be willing to put in more for this one, as we are sharing the ownership of the acapellas so as we'd be doing it collectively we'd be getting something of significant value for a much cheaper price because we are uniting and doing things together. I have done and organised things like this in the past and it makes the impossible to do solely possible by doing it collectively. Plus on the other side we are also supporting some of these underground artists or producers we admire by putting money in their pockets, therefore benefiting Hip Hop as a whole.

2: We also need to create our own media outlets, in various forms, because we can't rely on the powers that be to support us, we can fukk with them too, we can get them to play our music and shyt but we must have our own shyt for real. I am starting a Hip Hop website and with this I am wanting to do a number of things, review underground artists, such as some of the dope artists on here, review some Hip Hop that doesn't get enough shine and have an organisation that is TRULY run by Hip Hop heads. With no vested interests but with the culture in mind, with honesty. This could help our artists on here because that is the kind of shyt you can put in your CV and bio (even help in terms of label recognition), bare in mind the reviews will be honest as there is no payola here lol. If this site can be built up overtime (as many others have done) this is something we could use to gain a lot of attention to our artists and people and projects. The site would not be to compete with The Coli at all by the way, but it would be different, I love Hip Hop hugely and I live Hip Hop culture so I'm very passionate about this idea, I do a lot within Hip Hop but this is something I want to add. So like I said previously again if we all put in $10 (or more if wanted too) then that would be a very good start up for the site, as anybody knows who does these things it costs money. But if we all support eachother we can achieve things. Anybody who wants to do this is free to do so now, the paypal address to send to is theruler09@hotmail.com . I'd be willing to discuss potential contributors too.

3: Everybody should list their talents, what they can do and offer and how they can help. What do you do?

4: Think of the potential brothers and sisters, even 100 people at $100 is $1000, and we can do so much more that that, but we have to be unselfish and actually put our money and actions where our mouth is, I noticed the other thread kind of dropped off the radar, I don't want this to happen here.

5: The brother @The_One mentioned supporting a single or something to try crack billboard, I would certainly be willing to help with this too. We have to combine our resources, not just money but time and skills, for instance who has many followers on twitter? Even something like rewtweeing some shyt is useful. Everyone can play some role.

Gonna post this and continue, as I want this to be something ongoing and for real we do shyt and genuinely build, not just talk. Peace.

I'm gonna tag everyone that was in the original thread.....

Sometimes an artist/producer needs start up funds, as anyone knows sometimes it's an expense job, for studio time or equipment etc when juggling multiple financial commitments, again we could help and support eachother, I don't mind collectively putting some money in with others to try help people with this. The main thing with this all is that it's mutual, and we don't use eachother but support and build with eachother. And it has to be to decent respectable people with integrity and also that are serious about what they do. We could do things for Hip Hop here and for eachother. If we practise unity.

I want for instance wth the website to do something that will appreciate, preserve and enhance Hip Hop. The potential is limitless really.

Any sound engineers here? That could be useful? People with website knowledge? People with industry links of music business experience? Graphic designers?

@The_One also mentioned a project and executive producing it, I would be down to be part of a team that helps give opinions and feedback. Or if requested help with the direction.

If we all on the come up and rise together we can help eachother more and more. And gain more power we can use in a righteous effective way.

It takes barely any money to make music these days,,don't see the point for contributing money to people to make music when they're not gonna push the product in the real world..it's easy to make music..but 95%of the rappers on the coli don't have the hustle and would rather post songs for show n tell

It depends man, sometimes studio time is relatively expensive. Then if your paying producers, mixing and mastering (not everyone does this themsleves), and so many other things it really adds up, promo costs, manufacturing costs etc. Your right in regards to it has to be someone who will sincerely push the music and is serious, we have to filter it in a sense. But in regards to the collaborations idea that is obviously mutually beneficial as it would be shared ownership.

And the website idea helps everyone in general, even if someone isn't hustling it as much as they should, at least people get to hear some fresh Hip Hop if it's dope. But I'm sure some artists in here are genuinely on the grind, and have potential, I've heard some I like.

And there is almost limitless potential in regards to the website idea, we could branch into all types of things. Even merchandise for instance, for example if there's a designer who can create some T-Shirts could have them made and split the profits with them. There's plenty of possibilities.

I don't think I've heard your music before, any links?

K-Rino is one of may artists could facilitate work with, since some of his ish has millions of views and he is on a super grind it could work well. We aren't going to get a Jay Z lol. So we have to look at other people on a lower profile, G Rap is possible.

Yeah I'm already sponsored by a t shirt company..I do shows and my music is about to get pressed up..so I don't need the money..the only thing that costs money is to press up CDs..people can get their music recorded , mixed and mastered for free if they know how to work a recording program..nobody goes to studios these days..they're going out of business ...people can also do artwork for free if they have a software program

Yeah but everybody isn't in the same boat as you. People still go to studios, I have a studio and people are constantly asking to pay me to use it.
