I'm starting to think these guys purposely grab injury prone over the hill players so they can always have an out an excuse if they fail in the playoffs

If its deng for gasol we would immediately then have to find a suitor for boozer or just waive him and gasol at this stage of his career can't make up the difference from losing deng and boozer.

And I just can't see any scenario where the lakers do boozer for gasol

You now have about 13 mil in cap space to sign Melo next year, trade Dunleavy(3 mil) and Teague(1 mil), and then you have 17+ mil to sign Melo with.

lakers would NEVER do this obviously. especially not with gasol being on his final year and boozer having 2 years left.
