You're a young Black liberal elitist wannabee from the Northeast...

We know that you and your peers worship at the alter of Sean Carter...You're actually his base...

But not everyone your age is monolithic...
Spare me this pitiful spin job. I've refuted you so many times I no longer do it out of boredom and because I enjoy your writing style (and think underneath I get your real angle). I even gave you a best poster nod because of that. I'm sorry that I'm a liberal and I spent my time arguing in TLR with your fellow Jay haters in here that giving people a living wage and not buying into everything capitalism says is a bad thing. Imagine that, you can like an artist and disagree with some of his (supposed) stances...:ohhh: I'm sorry that my penchant for looking at things through multiple lens bothers you. I'm sorry that I can see through your misguided arguments that would get torn apart in any room of people who actually believe in facts and proper-framing. I'm an "elitist" wannabe because I happy to be well-educated, but from the hood so I'm not on my foolish quasi-militant shyt like you are. I won't even dignify that further because people who know me on here know what I'm about...and the type of people I hang around. Nice try though. Very concise, better than your last attempt. As usual, I laughed at your "argument" so you try to veer into an ad hominem attack.

You are right though. Not everyone is my age is monolithic, but there are some things that are pretty much universal even within our diversity. For example, most people around my age group thought MCHG was disappointing but that doesn't diminish Jay's stature among them....this isn't some legacy hanging in the balance game with every release like thecoli would like you to believe. For example, we can like different artists from J. Cole to Jay to Kendrick to Kanye and still have the same political and social beliefs. Something you find astounding. Ironically, it's a monolithic group on this board that has convinced you that you're analyses are generally on point or that your views are in anyway representative of generation Y. I did appreciate you staying in character for this post though. Now where was I...oh right...:dead:

you know...nikkaz aint tryna hear know "You Must Love Me"s from Jay right now

fck u think this is :childplease:

nikkaz want bangaz..

ALl these cacs and introverted fakkits can lament about how Jay doesnt speak about sad stuff and struggles but most nikkaz out hea aint worried bout all dat

Are you making yourself seem larger than life in your music??

Jay never stops doing that which is why I believe he continues to survive

While these other nikkaz trying soo hard to relate to these common folk Hov out hea doing what he's supposd to be doing...

Marketing himself thru his music as a larger than life entity so people will invest in his product..

I feel that but as a music fan it would be dope to hear more you must love me:manny:. I know I'll get the bangers but I'm also not worried about that, I got plenty of bangers to listen to. He doesn't have to rap about struggle, but everyone has some shyt going on in their life that they deal with and have issues with. Money doesn't solve everything

I don't know you man but every liberal progressive should be sorry for being a liberal progressive.
Liberal progressives are the biggest hypocrites and zombies on the face of this planet!
This world would be so much better if progressives didn't exist!
Progressives are the ones that support oppression and poverty the most, and none of you zombies even realize it.

I'm sorry that I can see through your misguided arguments that would get torn apart in any room of people who actually believe in facts and proper-framing.
Ok i'm confused, are you a liberal progressive or do you believe in facts? Which one is it?
Because you can't be both.

I agree 100%.. I just didn't want to derail this excellent thread, with opening the 3rd eye of my fellow Black Zombies...

This is true...

Nobody knows what the modern day American negro wants more than Sean Carter and Sean Combs... They want bangers and sweet vodka..

A hustler gives n1ggas what they want...

A poet gives n1ggas what they need...
That was cute nikka :obama:

Sehdev said that while Jay Z remains popular with Americans of all ages, his brand is missing one crucial piece needed to persuade them to spend hard-earned money on the products he touts: authenticity.

Stopped reading after this….

So a guy who came on the scene talking about being a hustler FIRST (who just so happens to rap)……..hustles his way towards minority ownership of a sports team, moves them to brooklyn. Has successful clothing lines, labels, you name it…….and now he's not authentic. Get the fukk out here. This article is a piece of shyt. I'm a NaS stan more than anything but these articles shytting on Jay-Z have gone entirely too far to the point where I almost take it as an attack on hip hop in that they're blatantly assassinating the character of the most successful figure in it.

This is even more laughable…

"Millennials question the exact nature of Jay Z’s role in the artistic process," Sehdev said. "Does he really write his own songs? Is he choosing the artists to collaborate with, or is he just the face of a money-making empire?"

Further, Jay Z's recent business decisions outside music are seen as lacking cohesion with the person he claims to be.

After purchasing a stake in the NBA's New Jersey Nets and serving as the public face of a contentious campaign to move the team to his home borough of Brooklyn, Jay sold his interests in the team less than a year after.

I can't believe who they pay to write on Hip Hop these days. Kids will never be into what their parents are. Hip Hop is a rebellious genre….Jay-Z is old…..but don't say that man lacks authenticity. That's fukking laughable.

He's getting taken down by the same people that built him up..

See Derrick Rose...

See RG3...

See Obama...

Thats why at the end of the day "Cac praise is no praise"...Because it always comes with the caveat of them eventually coming back to take what they owe...

I don't have any sympathy for n1ggas that sell their soul for riches..

All he has is his money... That will do...

Nothing about having you own clothing line or label makes you authentic. Is Donald Trump authentic for owning his own real estate empire? Of course not. Success doesn't automatically translate to authenticity.

An authentic person is someone who people respect for their honesty, integrity, and/or their openness. With the Barneys issue, the lack of creativity in his lyrics, and the Samsung deal which lead to most autopiloted album Jay's recorded to date, Jay's definitely lacking in authenticity these days.
