Butler will fit into the offense better than people think. Over his last two seasons he's 41.6%3PT on catch-and-shoot 3s, he just takes a lot of pull-ups. With Simmons and Embiid he should get more looks on-the-catch.
He also doesn't use as many plays as people think. USG% of 24.3 over his all-star tenure isn't high at all, basically the same as Redikk's.
93rd percentile as a cutter, 95th percentile in transition, 84th percentile off-screens, 82nd percentile on putbacks, 87th percentile on handoffs(which we run a lot of), and 89th percentile on spot-ups. These plays account for ~40% of his offense, and they're where he shines the most. In Philly he'll get to emphasize these aspects of his game even more.
He's 77th percentile as a PnR ball-handler and these plays make up over 30% of his offense. While that is a lot of usage in this playtype, this is an area exactly where we needed help. We have no one who can run the PnR really despite having arguably the best big in the league, and one who can set killer screens.
Only 12.8% of his offense is ISO so he won't take up too many touches, and he brings a lot of value since we also needed an ISO scorer.
Let's also not forget that he averaged over 5apg the last three seasons, he's can certainly pass and work the ball around. Dude is all about getting Ws.
