I just want one of the twins or Luke Kennard and I’m good. I’d love Rose but we know that’s not happening.
We need shot creation more than shooters to be honest, the Sixers are last in the NBA in unassisted fgm and everything is predicated on Simmons passing someone the ball to score.

That's why in my opinion Rose would be who I go after. When Jimmy ran point at the ends of games last year it took pressure off Embiid and freed up Simmons off the ball.

I would love Rose

I didn't think Jimmy was very good at point guard last year when his deep 45 degree three wasn't falling.

I think we can run a better offense with our existing personnel utilizing more off ball screens and less hand offs.

I can't talk to nobody outside of this thread about the Sixers. In that other thread on the front page about Embiid it's filled with nikkas saying we need to trade Embiid or Simmons without realizing it's mostly roster construction that's the issue.

In the public's view it's either we have to trade Embiid and surround Simmons with shooters or trade Ben and surround Embiid with shooters. The one common theme in either scenario is the need to add shooters so why don't we focus on that before trading one of our all star players. Elton Brand just hasn't done a good job at surrounding them with the right personnel and Brett Brown is not doing a good job at putting them in positions to succeed.
It’s mind blogging people who make that “they can’t play together take”. We were literally an unlucky bounce away and 2 unnecessary shot clock violations in a row away from the Finals . Because we could have beaten the Bucks. Neither Colangelo, Brett, nor Elton has completely surrounded them with the right guys. People forget how easily Boston disposed of us because we had shooters but nobody who can get their own shoot. Last yr the had the right balance of shooters and people who can get their own shot but only Ben, Joel, and Jimmy could play any defense. And they neglected to get Joel a suitable backup. This year they have more defenders, plus Tobias and J Rich can get their own shot. But they only have one shooter (until last night), there’s no decent backup at pg for Ben. Horford should be Embiid’s backup but they have him starting and it’s killing us at both ends of the floor playing together. The combination of Brett’s system and the owners cheapness has hurt us. They said they would run it back but according to Woj and others never offered Jimmy the max and lowballed JJ. Overpaying Horford was not a suitable replacement as it turns out. I liked the move at the time. But thought they would have signed some more players because they could have before finalizing the contracts of Tobias, Scott, and Ennis. They could have signed people before then used their bird rights to keep those guys :francis:. They knew this roster would struggle to score. Embiid kept saying as much before the season even started.

Breh thank you for bringing that up in the bolded.

Boston fukking washed us with that team full of shooters that everyone wants back, Ersan, Cov, Beli and Redikk all were shut the fukk down when they ran them off the line and they couldn't guard nobody:francis:

You know how revisionist history work. People will swear up and down that was the best version of the team because they watch ESPN all day lol. That’s all Max ever says is surround Ben with shooters and we’ll be better without Embiid. Then dumb nikkas be like “he right”:gucci: but forgot before Embiid came back in the 1st round against the Heat they neutralized Ben and ran all the off the line. Embiid was forced to come back early in order to win that series. Boston already had the blueprint after that. I’d love a combination of that roster with J Rich, Matisse, and Tobias instead of Holmes and Simba. That would be a good balance but :yeshrug:

Really not liking the moves.

Until Ben shoots the ball or BB is gone, the Sixers issues are going to stay the same.

I like adding in Alec. I still don’t see it with Neto as the backup. I’d rather just sub J rich out early so him and Burks can lead the second unit.

Things looking bleak af right now, if they're gonna keep losing so often my hope is that they can fire Brown at least

We got within 6 Embiid was on fire and Brett called a timeout to sit him down. I’m tired of his dumb auto rotations, I tired of his rotations, I’m tired of Ben playing like a hoe and not being aggressive, I’m tired of mopey Embiid, I’m tired of Tobias taking bad shots doing a horrible Melo impression, I’m tired of Korkmaz dribbling instead of taking the open shot, I’m tired of Horford thinking he’s Ray Allen. Getting rid of Brett doesn’t solve all the problems but it solves most of them :snoop:

I like Brett I really do and I don’t think he’s a bad coach. But we’ll never win anything with him. He’s a better Doug Collins he’s good for a young team until they tune him out. Doug was too hard on players and Brett is softer than Charmin.

Brett would make a good assistant coach. He can build relationships with players and what not, but he not built to lead. We're delaying the inevitable pretending like he's somebody he clearly isn't... :manny:

I get that we lack shooting, I get that we needed shot creators, but this team desperately needs a true leader...someone to galvanize the roster. We have nobody. Jojo might be clinically depressed, Ben is Ben, Horford is an elder but thats not his role, Brett carry's himself like the substitute teacher in high school that you like but dont respect.

who is the Alpha on this roster :dwillhuh:
