Bradley Beal still dropped 30 and Westbrook had his 20pt triple double. All that good defense for that:mjlol:
Westbrook had to take 22 shots to score 21 points, not efficient at all, and had 6 turnovers. Beal also had 6 turnovers.

Despite the supporting cast for Washington shooting their ass off(59%3PT by players other than Beal and Westbrook), the Wizards ORtg that game was 100.

For context as to how bad that is, if the Wizards were to play like this all year they'd have the worst ORtg of any team since the our own 2016 10-72 Sixers

They shot the ball really well, and we still held them to a really bad overall offensive performance. And I think teams with two dynamic guards, especially one who is athletic like Westbrook, will be our weakness this year, so doing well against a bad matchup on opening night I'm pretty satisfied :ehh:

I'm not opposed to trading for Harden tho

Westbrook airballed two 3s and Beal got two offensive fouls which limited him in the middle of the game.

Youre a fantasy basketball player you don't watch games - stay out the thread.
Ben Simmons been the same nikka for the last 3 years. The league is moving towards offense, it’s time to get with the times and not get left behind.

It's just not true :manny:

Maybe he got the same overall rating on 2k or something that's why you're saying this.

But his defense and post moves have improved very noticeably for those of us who watch the games.

Shooting is still a work in progress but I prefer him playing to his strengths as opposed to Young Sabo chucking threes he knows he can't make in an empty gym :patrice:

That 3rd quarter was like deja-vu all over again. Didn't like how Doc just left that lineup in there for that long ass drought and only called 1 time out
Was surprised thybulle got so little time but Shake and Maxey look good. Like the addition of Howard too though I peeped some of his fukkery like unnecessary fouls and talking shyt from the bench all game
Wouldn't call this win good but at least they won and Embiid had a good quarter after struggling with double teams for much of the other 3 quarters

I felt Doc was letting them play and forcing them to figure it out. I mean I actually thought it was obvious and didn't read too much into it. Only 2 preseasons games and a short offseason there has to be some level of patience

Tobias is outta here i can see Morey trading kid before the season is over.

I think Simmons could of been moved but Doc wants to wait and see how him and Embiid does.

The balls in Simmons court though what have you done to improve your game. Embiid is championship ready....

I loved Shake game and he is going to improve probably a 6th man award in the future.

Danny Green will be needed in playoffs for defense and hopefully some 3s.

Love Dwight Howard seriously that signing was so underrated.

Shake will be a starter by 25% way through the season I'm figuring. Unless we trade Tobi for a starting SG.

I think Seth is better as a 6th man, only issue is he probably pairs better with Shake than Maxey.

@AAKing23 and 76er brehs so I’m looking at your roster why didn’t y’all bring in a bench PG or a bench perimeter scorer? Do you plan on that being shake Milton and maxey?

the guys I’m thinking about are the Eric Gordon Austin river types. (Just using as examples of player types)

But if you have a Ben gunner who comes in legit looking to score.

A lot will have to happen to go right but I need a Sixers vs Nets series. For a team to beat them I think you have to slow the tempo down and Jarret and DAJ can’t guard Jo. KD is gonna get his but Simmons will make plays defensively.

I would prefer Shake lead the 2nd unit and close out the 4th quarters. He'll still have starter minutes.

I know beal and Russ got their numbers, but I was also impressed with Shake's defensive assignment game 1.

Let Ben get easier shots for Curry and Danny. Let Shake, Maxey PNR with Dwight in the 2nd unit.

All Morey needs is to do is unload Tobias by trade deadline and we good :blessed:

Yeah I actually like our matchup with Brooklyn. They're a better team than us, but Simmons is the best KD defender you could have, and Joel should destroy them as he's done in the past. Simmons has also been very effective against Brooklyn throughout his career
