Someone explain to me when the Hawks became this Juggernaut that everyone is now so confident in because I'm confused
I really think most nba fans don't like Ben Simmons and he plays for the SIxers, I don't even think they hate the Sixers at all, just Ben
Idk if it’s just me but I haven’t been hit this hard over a loss in a minshyt legit ruined my day
I want to give credit to the Hawks. But that coaching display by Doc and his stubbornness has had me pissed off since the game started.
11 man rotation, all bench lineups..not having Ben on Trae from jump. Then to go in the press conference and say the starters weren’t good either. I’m frustrated as hell bro
yeah I more angry than anything even going down 26 the game was winnable. We cut the lead to 14 with 3 mins in the 3rd and put in Shake. Who proceeded to give up a 3 and turn the ball. We went from down 14 to down 21 that quick
The refs killed us everytime we made a run. But this was probably the worst game at both ends of the floor we’ve played this postseason and still almost retook the lead. Honestly if Ben made all his free throws we’d of won

Fam it’s the stubbornness that pisses me off more than anything. The reporters asked him about the all bench lineups and Doc is gonna say the starters weren’t hot either. All the starters had positive on the plus/minus. Like it’s no excuse to play 11 players in the playoffs. It’s malpractice. It’s time to get on your Thibs shyt and play the best players 40 minutes.

Like why are you on some YMCA everybody can play shyt. The numbers have shown you that all bench shyt is a dub.
Looking at the box score the things that stand out are:
- Us giving up 20 threes, almost half the points scored and half of all the shots the Hawks hit were just three pointers alone
- Us giving the Hawks the ball pretty much 20 times and having more turnovers despite getting 12 steals
- Us missing 11 free throws which costed us the game
Danny Green has to come out the game earlier for Tisse if he's gonna be playing like that, I'm surprised Seth had 21 pts because it didn't feel like it. They literally lost game in the late first quarter and early second and once they finally started trapping Trae, we won both the 3rd and 4th quarter and could have won the game had Doc Rivers not let the lead balloon up to 26 before putting the starters back in.
I don't know if the Hawks are gonna drop 20 threes again next game but assuming they start to cool off a bit I wanna think as long as we play to our normal level of a play we should be able to have a chance to win
Agreed on that, Danny should be on Bogdan.
It doesn't even matter if Ben gets in foul trouble guarding Trae, of course I prefer he doesn't but we can't let that deter our best defender from guarding their best player
The threes simply need to be reduced tho by any means necessary, we cannot win with them shooting like that, gotta run them off the line
We just letting Trae get drive and kick opportunities and Embiid was doing drop coverage for a bit on the P&R action with Trae. Then what really frustrated me was Tobias saying they gotta make Trae work on the defensive end and target him. We have been saying that for days in this thread. What the fukk is Doc telling them?

I’ve been hearing a BUNCH of people say this goin back to the Knicks series but what does that actually look like? Are you saying you want Danny Green or Maxey to get a bunch of touches at the expense of Joel or Tobias or even Ben? Serious question b/c I’m not sure how you actually execute on that strategy
You run some ball screen action nh with whoever Trae is guarding until he switches or you force the switch. It’s lazy coaching on Doc’s part to not even try to force him to defend.

What you’re saying makes sense but you’re not gonna employ this and get the kind of action on Trae that you want. If I was a Sixers fan I would want to do what you’re saying I’m just saying IDK how effective it is...I think you’d be better off figuring out how to get Embiid more touches, Tobias more touches and Seth more open shots than trying to target Trae with your worst offensive player on the court
Ideally you would have Tobias as the handler and Danny setting the screens so that way he would have more shots and ideally Trae being forced to switch.
